We were happy to have participants from the German, Australian, and American Junior World Gliding Championships visit us yesterday. Their enthusiasm and interest was wonderful to see and they made some purchases from our shop. Our latest addition is locally made knives.

Our Glasflügel museum is open by appointment and subject to availability. We were also proud to show the original Glasflügel sign recently restored and now on display.

Christian will visit next week for International night. If you have any products you would like delivered, please get in touch.

We welcome visitors by appointment and enjoyed giving our Australian friends a tour after they were at the WGC.

Our Australian Glasflügel friend (and
Mosquito owner), Rhiaan Bennett started a new event last year called RooGlide for 20-35 year olds! As she aged out of being a Junior, she felt the need to keep the connections going that JoeyGlide had created.

Narromine in NSW was the location for the first event and it was a huge success! Rhiaan (with the support of her pilot parents, Kylie and Neil, plus partner Nathan) put a lot of work in before and during… everyone received welcome packs with the very popular RooGlide bracelets.

Glasflugel was very well represented with 2 Libelles, 1 Mosquito, 1 Hornet and a Salto (yes, it's part of our family). We made sure they all have one of our stubbie holders (Australian beer holder… see the photo).

It was a non competitive event designed for people to achieve their own goals in a supportive environment and coaching was also offered. The evening games and morning talks were also a hit.

Gliding isn't just about flying, but about friendships and we love that the younger pilots have more reasons to get together.
