Congratulations to Mike Lents on winning the Advanced category at the U.S. National Aerobatic Championships in Salina, Kansas, flying the Extra NG.
Mike has spent his career building the pipeline this sport depends on: he has coached the University of North Dakota Aerobatic Team since 2011, guiding it to ten national collegiate titles, teaches aerodynamics, aircraft systems, human factors, and aerobatics at UND, and holds a NAFI Master Instructor-Aerobatic designation.
He flew for the U.S. Advanced Team in Romania in 2018 and brought home team silver.
A national title in the NG is a fitting result for a pilot who has put so many others in the cockpit first, and we are proud to have him flying an Extra.
