⚡ Smarter injection, measurable results: Miraplast cuts energy use per cycle by 10% ⚡

🏭 Miraplast Kunststoffverarbeitung, a plastics processor with sites in Austria and Hungary, was among the first companies worldwide to test iQ weight control plus from the ENGEL inject AI portfolio.

🔬 The pilot was carried out on an ENGEL victory 80, producing pipe clamp components in a four cavity mould, and delivered compelling results:

✅ Production quality achieved after just two optimisation steps, with only two parameters adjusted.
✅ 50% shorter decompression stroke, enabled by more reliable and repeatable closing of the non return valve
✅ 10% lower energy consumption per cycle, thanks to pressure optimised, material friendly process control
✅ Fewer surface defects and cleaner moulding of corners and ribs, thanks to improved venting, visible without the need for measuring equipment

💬 For Andreas Neulinger, Production Manager at Miraplast, the benefits were clear: greater process stability, improved part quality and a measurable reduction in energy consumption, a strong foundation for continued use.
