enPower.life wird in einem UN Bericht zum Solarmarkt in Uganda als führendes Beispiel zur Solarfinanzierung erwähnt. Seit dem Erscheinen des Berichts haben wir bereits die nächste enPower.life Solaranlage finanziert und erfolgreich in Betrieb genommen. Neben der Solaranlage für das Aquarius Kigo Resort spart nun auch die Solaranlage für Yujo Izakaya CO2 Emissionen ein.

Der Bericht liefert weitere interessante Einblicke in den Solarmarkt Ugandas:

🌞 zwischen 2013 und 2021 wurden in Uganda 89 Solaranlagen gebaut
🌞 Solarstrom ist etwa 20-30% günstiger als Strom aus dem Netz
🌞 Crowdinvesting ist typisch im Solarmarkt Uganda

Der Großteil der Solaranlagen wurde wurde durch Crowdinvesting und Impact Investor*innen finanziert – genau wie wir es mit unseren enPower.life Solaranlagen gemacht haben. Finanzielle Institutionen in Uganda zeigen zwar Interesse daran in den Solarmarkt Ugandas zu investieren – doch eine unklare Gesetzgebung und Strategie für den Solarmarkt erschweren diese Finanzierungsmöglichkeit.

Dennoch steigt das Interesse an Solarenergie: eine verbesserte Zuverlässigkeit der Stromversorgung, geringere Stromkosten und verringerte CO2 Emissionen machen Solarenergie zu einer immer beliebteren Lösung für Unternehmen in Uganda.

enPower.life is mentioned in a UN report on the solar market in Uganda as a leading example of solar financing. Since the report was published, we have already financed and successfully commissioned the next enPower.life solar plant. In addition to the solar system for the Aquarius Kigo Resort, the solar system for Yujo Izakaya now also saves CO2 emissions.

The report provides further interesting insights into the solar market in Uganda:

🌞 Between 2013 and 2021, 89 solar systems were built in Uganda
🌞 Solar power is about 20-30% cheaper than electricity from the grid
🌞 Crowdinvesting is typical in the Uganda solar market

The majority of the solar plants were financed by crowd investing and impact investors – just like our enPower.life solar plants. Although financial institutions in Uganda are interested in investing in the solar market in Uganda, unclear legislation and strategy for the solar market make this financing option difficult.

But, interest in solar energy solutions is increasing. Improved power reliability, lower electricity bills and reduced CO2 emissions make solar energy an increasingly popular solution for businesses in Uganda.

Der Bau der 35 kWp Solaranlage für Yujo Izakaya geht stetig voran. Die ersten Panele sind auf der Unterkonstruktion befestigt und in Kürze wird die Solaranlage sauberen Solarstrom liefern. Und davon profitieren alle:
Yujo Izakaya kann seinen CO2 Abdruck verringern und zum Umwelt- und Klimaschutz beitragen. Die nachhaltige Business Community, bestehend aus mehreren nachhaltigen Unternehmen, wird somit noch grüner! Außerdem sparen die Unternehmen Stromkosten, denn unsere Solarenergie-Lösung ist günstiger als der Strom aus dem Netz oder aus Dieselgeneratoren. Dadurch wird die wirtschaftliche Lage für die Unternehmen verbessert – es bleibt mehr Geld für andere notwendige Anschaffungen. Und zu guter Letzt profitieren auch unsere Impact Investorinnen und Investoren – denn die bekommen zum einen einen lohnenswerten Zinssatz ausgezahlt und dürfen sich zum anderne über das gute Gefühl freuen, die weltweit notwendige nachhaltige Entwicklung ein kleines Stück weiter vorangebracht zu haben.

The construction of the 35 kWp solar system for Yujo Izakaya is progressing steadily. The first panels are attached to the mounting structure and the solar system will soon begin to supply clean solar power. Everyone will benefit from this:
Yujo Izakaya can reduce its carbon footprint and contribute to environmental and climate protection. The sustainable business community that consists of multiple sustainable businesses, is thus becoming even greener! The businesses also save on electricity costs because our solar energy solution is cheaper than electricity from the grid or from diesel generators. This improves the economic situation for the companies – there is more money left for other important purchases. And last but not least, our impact investors benefit – because on the one hand they get paid a profitable interest rate, and on the other hand they get to enjoy the feeling of taking a step towards the global sustainable development that our world needs.

We are pleased to celebrate our project’s first year at Aquarius Kigo Resort. enPower.life commissioned the 28 kWp isolated grid plant at Aquarius Kigo Resort on the 26th of June 2021. Within the past 365 days, we have already contributed around 32 MWh of , , and solar energy into the resort’s daily consumption which resulted in 16.88 tons of savings equal to avoiding almost 67,740 km of a passenger car traveling. On this occasion, we also talked in a friendly interview with Mr. Fard Kutesa, the General Operational Manager of the resort, to hear his experience from the time the plant was installed until today. Neuer Blogpost: Wir waren auf der Intersolar Europe in München!

Jedes Jahr findet in München die weltweit führende Fachmesse rund um die Solarenergie statt – die Intersolar Europe. Es sieht gut aus: Innerhalb Europas bleibt Deutschland weiterhin führender Solarmarkt. Die installierte Photovoltaikkapazität in der Bundesrepublik soll dabei von derzeit gut 60 GW auf mindestens 215 GW (bis 2030) und 400 GW (bis 2040) erhöht werden.

Eine Umfrage der Bundesverband Solarwirtschaft (BSW) von Anfang Mai 2022 unter mehr als 1.000 Gebäudeeigentümer*innen in Deutschland ergab, dass fast jede*r sechste Hauseigentümer*in innerhalb des nächsten Jahres eine Solaranlage anbringen möchte.
