At SolyPlus GmbH, we are developing a technology platform that has the potential to fundamentally change how biopolymers can be used in real-world products.
Highly effective biopolymers such as hyaluronic acid and chitosan are extremely promising for medical and cosmetic applications. However, their industrial use is often limited by processing challenges — viscosity, handling, and scalability frequently prevent them from being integrated into practical product formats.
Our solution:
Solyplus GmbH converts biopolymer powders into processable smart materials — including granulates, films, pads, microparticles, or solid bodies. This enables entirely new product formats that can be produced at industrial scale.
Potential applications include:
• Cosmetic products with high concentrations of hyaluronic acid
• Consumer products based on chitosan
• New approaches in wound healing, for example for diabetic foot ulcers
• A platform technology for further MedTech and biopolymer-based innovations
The underlying technology is internationally patented (including the US, EU, and Japan) and opens up multiple market opportunities — from cosmetics to MedTech.
