Small Wings, Big Impact: Protecting Bees Starts with Knowledge

Today, we celebrate the incredible role of bees in our ecosystems and agriculture. As pollinators, bees are essential for the reproduction of countless plants and the production of much of the food we rely on every day.
But bees face serious threats — from habitat loss to pesticides and viral diseases.
One of these threats is Black Queen Cell Virus (BQCV), a virus that can silently sabotage queen development and weaken entire colonies. Especially during queen rearing, BQCV can lead to high failure rates — with major consequences for beekeepers and biodiversity alike.
