And while I am on it, here a teaser of what will come next: 51st TFW/CW F-4Es operating from Osan (OS) and Taegu (GU) air bases, South Korea, from 1975 to 1989.

And yes, have not forgotten about the 52nd TFW at Spangdahlem, but those PACAF F-4s simply are my absolute favourite Phantoms! So, I do hope to be in print by summer this year ...

Cheers,

Andreas

Dear phellow Phantomiacs!

Today I want to present to you our latest decal realse - HoPD 72001: Luftwaffe F-4Fs in Norm 81A/B camouflages.

Our A4-sized decal features over 40 marking options Luftwaffe F-4F aircraft operating during the 1982 to 1996 time frame. The decal only includes Phantoms in Norm81 A/B camopuflages - several with lots of zappings and exercise markings, inlcuding two short lived shark mouth liveries.

Topics were sourced from the following squadrons:

1) JG 71 "Richthofen", Wittmund AB
2) JG 74 "Mödlers", Neuburg/Donau AB
3) JaboG 35, Pferdsfeld AB
4) JaboG 36, "Westfalen", Rheine-Hopsten Ab

This set contains full stencils for two aircraft, however, panel numbers were provided for only one jet.

Cartograf did an amazing print job, and even the smalest stencils can be read under a magnifing glass - THANKS DAVIDE!

A very special thanks goes to the following persons for their much-appreciated help and support in the design of this decal: Friedrich Becker, Pat Martin, Jürgen Busse, Florian Morasch, Martin Bach, Benjamin Franzke, Gerhard Lang, Wieland Stolze, Jürgen Knizia, Karl-Heinz Müller und Daniel Kehl.

Please note that to reduce paper waste and our impact on the environmet (Go Green), we no longer have printed instructions in our decl sheets. The instructions are now available for download from this website: https://www.shopofphantoms.com/download

Dear all!

Today a short update on our Luftwaffe F-4F Norm81A/B decal sheet, designed for the new Finemolds 1/72 scale Phantom kit.

Finally, after a long wait, Cartograf processing the data for printing early May. Unfortunately their printing schedule is complete booked until then.

This gave me the time to verify all the (over 40) markings options we are going to include and make it the BEST sheet available on this topic.

Stencils are included for two Phantoms, with panel numbers for only one aircraft.

I will soon make the instructions available for download in our https://www.shopofphantoms.com/download section.

On a different note, we now have the Meng F-4E AUP Hellenic AF available in our shop. This kit has some really nice decal options and comes with all the changed cockpit parts and armament options for a proper Greek F-4E AUP.

Also, the new Nato Tiger Meet book (Tiger 2025) is available in our book store.

Dear friends and fellow Phantomiacs!

We are happy to annpounce that we have finally received in quantity Finemolds' new F-4E late (Clark AB) and Luftwaffe F-4F JG 71 "Richthofen" limited edition, both in 1/72 scale.

As Finemolds quality is simply amazing, we also decided to scale down our own F-4F in Norm81 camouflage to 1/72, and release this amazing decal within a few weeks. The decal was designed to fit the Finemolds Phantom, however, much of the artwork can be used on Hasegawa or Revell 1/72 kits.

From Glow2b we received the latest Meng release - Türkish AF F-4E 2020 / Terminator in special markings. An absolute fabulous kit in 1/48 scale.

Dear fellow model making maniacs!

Today a short update on our RAF Jaguar decal: Cartograf was able to print those in time for Telford - tank you so much Davide!

We already have received the lot last week, and I am now preparing the instructions. Unfortunately, as usual, I overdid it again with 28 different versions, and finishing the instruction is dragging on a bit.

We will also try a new approach to reduce paper waste and "go green", thus, the insruction will no longer be printed, but will be downloadable from our website www.shopofphantoms.com as a PDF-file.

The decals can be purchased at SMW 2025 in Telford, as well as from our website after my return from the UK.

For all SMW 2025 attendees please visit me at the JaguHar SIG stand, tabel 3063, in hall 3. Show price for the decal will be 20 GBP or 25 €.

And, I want to take the time for a very special tanks, which goes to my friends Nick Greenall and Mark Attrill, both from the JaguHar SIG, as well as to Andy Donovan (Phoenix Design and Consultancy), for their amazing support during the design process and helping out with administartive issues. Thanks a lot guys - much appreciated!

Safe travels for everyone & see you next week!

Andreas

Dear friends!

Today a small update on where we stand with the Jaguar decal. It was a mammouth project, but I think we nailed it.

Thanks to everyone (especially Andy Donovan) who helped us with ideas, suggestions, corrections and images. Much appreciated!

A few corrections and off to the Cartograf ... the decal definitely should be ready for SMW at Telford in November.

In case you cannot make it this year, you can order the decal from our website www.shopofphantoms.com or any major retailer e.g. from Hannants.

All the best,

Andreas

Dear friends and fellow enthusiasts!

Today a short update what we are currently working on (unfortunately, this time not F-4 related...;-)).

In the final design stages is a decal sheet, covering the RAF Jaguar GR.1 and T.2 over Germany. Time frame 1975 to 1988, when the last No.II(AC) Squadron jets left Germany.

But, it also includes a few jets from No.54 and No.41 Squadrons, when these aircraft where on deployment to Eggebek and Husum airbases, participating in Bull's Eye 1979 and Best Focus 1980.

We found a lot of intersting motives, with lots of special exercise markings (zaps) applied during TAMs and other deployments. The following squadrons will be covered: No.II(AC), No.14, No.17, No.20, No.31, No.41, No.54 and last but not least No.226 OCU.

The sheet will be ready for Telford, and hopefully our book on Cold War Jaguars 1974 to 1991 as well, ending with their participation in Gulf War 1 (Operation Granby).

So long and all the best!

Andreas
