After successfully electrifying 18 schools across previous project phases, we are proud to share that five additional schools have now been equipped with off-grid systems, bringing the total to 23 schools powered.
Each of these five newly installed systems features a 4.15 kWp solar PV system paired with 9.6 kWh of lithium battery storage, providing clean and reliable electricity to students and teachers in the Inรญrida region. What began as a small pilot project has grown into a long-term commitment to improving access to education through sustainable energy. Despite the challenging logistics of transporting equipment deep into the Amazon, every completed installation represents new opportunities for learning and community development.
This project would not have been possible without the support of the Latin American aid organisation Adveniat โ Das Lateinamerika-Hilfswerk, which organised the project in collaboration with the Vicariate of Inรญrida and BEGECA gGmbH and provided a significant portion of the necessary funding from donations. The Vicariate of Inรญrida also supported the selection of school sites and coordinated local contacts and logistical matters on the ground. Also, sincere thank you to our Colombian installation partner SUNEO ENERGY SAS, and all the local communities whose collaboration has made this initiative possible.
If you are planning to bring reliable off-grid energy to remote schools, healthcare facilities, or communities, get in touch with our team to discuss how we can support your project.
