𝗙𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝘁𝘀. 𝗙𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗷𝗼𝗯𝘀.
Remineralizing RO or desalinated water isn't about "adding minerals back" — it's about engineering a specific profile.

Here's what each DRIWA® product actually contributes:
→ 𝗗𝗥𝗜𝗪𝗔-𝗖𝗖𝗗 — the primary source of calcium hardness. Shapes mouthfeel and supports the calcium intake target in remineralized water.
→ 𝗗𝗥𝗜𝗪𝗔-𝗠𝗖𝗛 — delivers magnesium without adding sulphate or bicarbonate load. A cleaner way to dial in magnesium hardness independently.
→ 𝗗𝗥𝗜𝗪𝗔-𝗠𝗦𝗛 — combines magnesium with sulphate, often used where a specific magnesium-to-sulphate ratio is targeted.
→ 𝗗𝗥𝗜𝗪𝗔-𝗦𝗛𝗖 — the classic alkalinity and buffering agent. Stabilizes pH and rounds out flat, "empty" RO water.
→ 𝗗𝗥𝗜𝗪𝗔-𝗣𝗛𝗖 — same alkalinity function as SHC, but sodium-free. The go-to when formulations need to stay low-sodium.

Five salts, five distinct roles — and together they give water treatment engineers precise control over the final mineral profile, not a one-size-fits-all blend.

Which parameter matters most in your remineralization setup — hardness, alkalinity, or sodium content?

If you work with KCl in food, feed, pharma, or industrial applications, you’ve probably asked at least one of these questions.

Here are the answers 👇

1️⃣ 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗞𝗖𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺?
→ Consistent quality starts with a reliable supply chain. Our KCl is sourced and processed with full traceability to ensure consistent specifications from batch to batch.
2️⃣ 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗞𝗖𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱?
→ Like most mineral salts, KCl is mildly hygroscopic — proper storage in a cool, dry environment prevents caking and preserves flowability and shelf life.
3️⃣ 𝗗𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝘀𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿?
→ Absolutely. Particle size can have a major impact on dissolution, blending, handling, and processing. That’s why different Saltosil-K® grades are available for different application requirements.
4️⃣ 𝗜𝘀 𝗞𝗖𝗹 𝘀𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻-𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗲𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀?
→ Yes. Potassium chloride is a mineral salt that can be used in a wide range of formulations where sodium reduction or mineral fortification is required.

𝟰,𝟮𝟳𝟴 𝗺𝗴.

That’s the global average daily sodium intake for adults — 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝘄𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗺𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗛𝗢.

And the numbers behind the salt shaker tell a bigger story:
→ 𝟮,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗺𝗴 — the WHO’s recommended maximum daily sodium intake.
→ 𝟰,𝟮𝟳𝟴 𝗺𝗴 — the global average in 2021, equivalent to around 𝟭𝟭 𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗮𝘆.
→ 𝟭.𝟴𝟵 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 are linked to excessive sodium intake, making it one of the most significant dietary risk factors for cardiovascular disease worldwide.
→ 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝟳𝟬% 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗼𝗱𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 comes from foods where sodium is already present — particularly packaged, processed, and restaurant foods.
→ Sodium consumption varies significantly across regions, reaching 𝟭𝟭.𝟴 𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗶𝗮, compared with 6.7 g in Barbados.
→ The WHO has set a global target of a 𝟯𝟬% 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗼𝗽𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲.

For the food industry, the message is clear:

But here’s the real challenge:

𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂.
Salt is probably closer than you think.

We usually think of salt as something sitting on our dinner table.
But its role goes far beyond food:
→ 🧂 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱: preservation, taste, and processing
→ 🧼 𝗦𝗼𝗮𝗽, 𝗴𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 & 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀: used in a wide range of industrial processes
→ 🛣️ 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆: helping keep roads clear during winter
→ 💧 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: an essential part of softening and treatment systems
→ 💊 𝗣𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝘀: used as a stabilizer, carrier, and processing ingredient

And that’s just the beginning.

Salt is one of those materials we rarely think about — 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙮 𝙗𝙚𝙘𝙖𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙞𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚.
It may be simple.
It may be common.
But modern life would look very different without it.

At our SALT Minerals headquarters, we’ve broken ground on the next chapter of our company — and we’re building on two fronts at the same time.

🏢 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺.
Our office building is expanding by more than two additional floors, creating room for our growing sales, marketing, technical and support teams.

🏭 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆.
At the same time, we’re constructing a brand-new production facility directly at our headquarters.
And this is more than simply adding production capacity.
The new facility is being built to 𝗚𝗠𝗣 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀, enabling us to meet the demanding requirements of pharmaceutical-grade applications — with a strong focus on purity, traceability and process control.

For our customers and partners, this investment means:
→ More capacity
→ Greater reliability
→ Stronger quality standards
→ New opportunities in demanding markets

After 𝟮𝟬+ 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝘁𝘀, we’re now investing in the infrastructure to take the next step.
Because we don’t want to build for where the market is today.
𝗪𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴.
And this is only the beginning.

We’ll be sharing more updates from the construction site as the project progresses. 🚀

We get this question from prospective partners all the time. So let's answer it!

𝗤: 𝗜𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗞𝗖𝗹 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗞𝗖𝗹, 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗿?

A: Not really.
While the chemical formula is the same, the quality behind it can vary significantly. Differences in purity, particle size distribution, moisture content, Heavy Metals, and production standards all influence how the product performs in real-world applications.

𝗤: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲?

A: We offer our Saltosil-K in different grades, such as, Food, Feed, Technical and Pharma grade, allowing customers to choose the specification that best fits their application.

𝗤: 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝘀𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝘀𝗼 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁?

A: Consistent particle size ensures reliable blending, dosing, and processing. Poorly controlled granulation can result in segregation, uneven distribution, and inconsistent product quality.

𝗤: 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗲𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆?

A: Every batch can be supplied with a Certificate of Analysis (CoA), providing full transparency and confidence in the product you receive.

At Salt Minerals, we believe consistency is more than a specification — it's what enables reliable production, batch after batch.
