Gemeinsame Wurzeln – unterschiedliche berufliche Wege
Drei Geschichten, ein Unternehmen

In unserer Serie Familienbande zeigen wir, wie gelebtes Miteinander bei Uhlmann aussieht. Heute im Fokus: die Brüder Martin und Andreas und ihr Cousin Michael.

Ihre ersten Berührungspunkte mit Uhlmann hatten sie schon früh. Egal ob durch den Vater der Brüder, der im Unternehmen arbeitete, oder durch regelmäßige Ferienarbeit. So entstand eine Verbindung, die bis heute besteht. Was mit einer Ausbildung begann, entwickelte sich zu drei individuellen beruflichen Wegen, die bis heute mit Uhlmann verbunden sind.

🧩 Was sie verbindet?
🔹 Alle drei begannen mit einer Ausbildung zum Mechatroniker bei Uhlmann und entwickelten sich in unterschiedliche Richtungen weiter – als Techniker oder über ein Studium.
🔹 Uhlmann im Umfeld: In ihrem Freundes‑ und Bekanntenkreis gibt es zahlreiche Uhlmann‑Kolleginnen und Kollegen.
🔹 Vom Oldtimer-Schrauben bis zum Feuerwehrdienst – ihre Freizeit ist genauso vielfältig wie ihre beruflichen Wege.

Besonders schätzen sie die Flexibilität im Unternehmen und wie gut sich Arbeit und Privatleben miteinander verbinden lassen. Die Arbeitskultur ist locker und modern, ohne starre Kernzeiten oder altmodische Strukturen. Man spürt, dass Uhlmann ein Familienunternehmen ist: der direkte Kontakt zur Geschäftsführung, kurze Wege und eine wertschätzende Kommunikation prägen den Alltag.

Is your blister line too old to keep up with your digitization? But runs too well to replace it entirely?

Our customer Viatris Komárom faced this very challenge. At its Komárom (Hungary) site, a BEC 300 has been packaging tablets in blisters and folding cartons since 2012 - reliably, efficiently, and with high quality.

But Viatris is driving digitalization in pharma packaging. To ensure the existing line could meet the new requirements, our customer requested an e-upgrade:
🚀 Mechanical and electrical upgrade of the entire line
🚀 Upgrade to our modular software platform Pexcite, including the T1 serialization unit and the modules Track & Trace, Supervisory Control and OEE-Monitoring
🚀 Addition of the ES 60 stretch ba**er

Uhlmann Pac-Systeme launched three parallel projects. This required close coordination between the customer and the three Uhlmann teams. The implementation timeline was extremely tight: With the annual summer shutdown ending with CW29, going back to production, the team faced a hard deadline.

Thanks to excellent teamwork, we successfully completed this mission: After the summer break, the line went back into production – updated, digitized, and equipped with a stretch ba**er.

We extend our sincere thanks to Viatris for the outstanding collaboration.

A big thank you also goes to the three Uhlmann teams led by project managers Martin Weyrich, Stephan Wigh de Alencar, and Eveline Kreiner. Well done!

Your bottle is labeled. Where will its code be read next?

With the S 500 Bottle, labeling and label serialization can be combined with optional bottle bottom coding. The helper code on the base is linked to the serialization code on the label during the labeling process.

In downstream packaging processes, the bottle can then be identified via its base. This can be particularly useful when the bottle is handled horizontally and the code on the base is easier to access than the serialized label.

Pexcite Track & Trace manages the associated serialization and aggregation data. Where aggregation is required, it records the relationships between packaging levels as bottles become part of a case or pallet.

Together, hardware and software support product identification and traceability across the packaging process, from the individual bottle to the aggregated shipping unit.

Saneca Pharmaceuticals is Slovakia’s largest pharmaceutical company – and a longtime Uhlmann Pac-Systeme customer. That alone is a reason to celebrate!

But then the company based in Hlohovec decided to rely on Uhlmann solutions for ampoule packaging as well and to invest in two BLU 200 blister lines. Thank you very much for placing your trust in us!

The BLU 200:

🔹 handles syringes, ampoules, vials, cartridges, bottles, and pens with the utmost care
🔹 is suitable for packaging small and medium-sized batches

14,000 components. One Product Carbon Footprint.

Calculating the carbon footprint of pharmaceutical packaging equipment is a complex task – especially when every machine is tailored to individual customer requirements.

Together with ECOSPEED, Uhlmann Pac-Systeme has developed an approach that enables automated PCF calculations directly within our IT infrastructure.
