Megalabs Venezuela is a big player in the South American pharmaceutical industry:

👩‍🔬👨‍🔬 8,000 employees are engaged in research and production at 17 locations.
And the 18th site is already under construction! 🏗️

It will start operations in Caracas (Venezuela) in October 2026. To ensure first-class pharma packaging, Megalabs is relying on Uhlmann and its BEC 300 blister line.

At the new plant, the BEC 300 will package tablets such as blood pressure medication and pain relievers in blister packs and folding cartons. The line offers outstanding speed, reliability, and quick format changes.

To ensure everything runs smoothly later on site, a Megalabs team recently traveled to Laupheim for the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT). After three days of intensive testing, it was clear that the line works perfectly and can be shipped to Caracas! 🚢

Tobias Wilhelm – IT System Engineer 💻⚙️

Tobias Wilhelm gehört seit Juli 2012 zur Uhlmann Familie und ist von Anfang an im Bereich IT-Infrastruktur tätig. Über die Jahre hinweg hat er sich kontinuierlich weiterentwickelt, unterschiedliche Aufgaben und Verantwortungsbereiche übernommen und dabei stets dazu beigetragen, die IT-Systeme modern, stabil und leistungsfähig zu halten.

Was ist Ihr Aufgabenbereich?
Tobias verantwortet das gesamte Clientmanagement bei Uhlmann und betreut eine umfangreiche IT-Landschaft mit rund 2.500 Notebooks und PCs sowie etwa 900 Smartphones. Darüber hinaus kümmert er sich um die Clientapplikationen inklusive der Softwarepaketierung für das Software-Center, betreut die Druckerlösung und verwaltet verschiedene Sonderapplikationen in den Fachbereichen. Auch die Medientechnik gehört zu seinem Aufgabengebiet, ebenso wie die Unterstützung internationaler Standorte – teilweise auch direkt vor Ort.

Was ist an diesem Job besonders?
Besonders schätzt Tobias den engen Austausch mit unterschiedlichsten Bereichen und Mitarbeitenden im gesamten Unternehmen. Als Schnittstelle zwischen Mensch und Technik sorgt er dafür, dass IT-Systeme zuverlässig funktionieren und Prozesse reibungslos laufen.

💊 The BEC 700 blister line packs oral solid dose into blisters and folding boxes.
📦 The ECP 12 case packer is designed to quickly and precisely pack folding boxes into shipping cartons and place them on pallets.
🖥️ The digital platform Pexcite provides the basis for modular software solutions, for example for track & trace at Daiichi Sankyo.
🔧 Validation and support services complete the solution.
