The path to today's globally acting Digital Automation Company Turck began in 1965 in the living room of a family home in Halver, Germany. It started with two courageous and visionary founders, the brothers Hans and Werner Turck. The two electrical engineers started off with the idea of automating manufacturing processes through electronic components. 1968, their partner and internationally experienced electrical engineer Hermann Hermes joined the company. In today’s Walk & Talk, Michael Troska introduces the latest addition to our QR20 inclinometer family for mobile applications.

With the new analog QR20 inclinometers, TURCK brings precise inclination monitoring to machines that are constantly on the move. Operating on 8 V DC and featuring E1 type approval, the sensors output inclination angles directly as voltage or current signals, making integration simple and efficient without requiring a fieldbus.

✅ Sensor fusion combining accelerometer and gyroscope for reliable measurements
✅ Six configurable analog output types via IODD
✅ Rugged design with 200 g shock resistance, IP69K protection, and an operating range from -40 °C to +85 °C
