When small filters make a big impact...
Filtration is essential, especially in hospitals and settings. Viruses and bacteria are everywhere, and the risk of infection and bacterial contamination is high everywhere.

That’s why even small and unassuming consumables like ventilator and insufflation filters make such a big difference: They directly protect patients and effectively prevent cross-contamination between the patient and the insufflator.

The benefits of electrosurgery and minimally invasive techniques are well known and proven. But they also have a downside: surgical smoke.

In Europe, approximately 1.2 million surgical professionals are exposed to surgical smoke.

And this smoke is not only unpleasant but also dangerous, as it can contain toxic gases and vapors such as benzene, hydrogen cyanide, formaldehyde, or even viruses and bacteria.

➡️ That is why the smoke must be captured right where it is generated.

This is best achieved with a smoke evacuator and an effective filter—at least meeting the HEPA standard—whose intake is located as close as possible to the surgical site or source of smoke.

A final farewell from 2026: It was a great pleasure for us!

After weeks of preparation and five exciting days at the show, we’re slowly wrapping up our experience at the leading trade fair for the automotive . And for us, it was a very special week in Frankfurt.

With two new product lines, two exciting services for our customers, customer awards presented to special clients in the passenger car sector, and a “Meet the CEO” breakfast, we had plenty of topics and highlights to share.

Now we hope to make an equally strong showing at our next trade show.

We are known in the original equipment and automotive sectors for reliable filtration. But we’re going even further.

Under the motto “Filtration and beyond,” we have launched several new product lines in recent months and years that go beyond pure .

Our latest addition is our new line of water pumps. Our many years of expertise in cooling modules are being applied to this area of thermal management, and we’re excited to offer approximately 200 different models for passenger cars, trucks, and light commercial vehicles right from the start 🚗🚐🚛

A valuable addition to our Executive Board, a valuable addition to our transformation, and to the entire company: On Tuesday, we welcomed our new Chief Financial Officer, Kolja Kress, to our team!

As the new CFO, Kolja Kress (center) will be responsible for Finance, Controlling, HR, IT, Legal, and Compliance.

“With his international experience, his strong financial expertise, and his understanding of change processes, he will provide important impetus for the further development of our Group,” say Supervisory Board Chairman Jens Röttgering (left) and CEO Christopher Heine (right). “Together with him, we intend to consistently drive forward Hengst’s transformation into a filtration specialist, including from a business perspective.”

Kolja Kress has served as CFO and managing director at various automotive suppliers and industrial companies, has gained international experience in the United Kingdom and the United States, and brings extensive expertise in corporate transformation to the table.
