GAGa - Granular Anisotropic Gases

GAGa - Granular Anisotropic Gases GAGa (Granular Anisotropic Gases) is ... The GAGa projects investigate the fundamtal physics of granular gases in micro-gravity. Read it here!

It startet with REXUS Team GAGa in 2009, but now we went on to further research and also have new projects in the field. The REXUS Team GAGa (Granular Anisotropic Gases), a team of 6 (now former) students from Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg, participated in the REXUS/BEXUS programme realised by DLR, SNSB, ESA, Esrange Space Center of SSC and the Mobile Rocket Base (MORABA) . The experimen

t was successfully launched on the sounding rocket REXUS-10 in February 2011 from SSC, Esrange Space Center in northern Sweden. Read more details about the experiment on the Rexus/Bexus-Homepage (http://www.rexusbexus.net/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=117&Itemid=126)! The GAGa DropT team are 4 PhD students from Magdeburg University. They have been selected to develop and perform their microgravity experiment during ESA’s 4th 'Drop Your Thesis' campaign in 2012.
