It's flying.

Today, December 15, 2021, the RotorSchmiede VA250 ultralight with German registration D-MZZT took off on its maiden flight at 11:30.

In spite of imperfect weather conditions, the team was ready to take the next step on the certification procedure and prepared the coaxial helicopter for flying. Once it was in air, the helicopter proved its easy handling characteristics while fighting against medium gusts. The pilot is experienced with our VA115 single seat helicopter and had no problems to carry out this job.

At the end of the day, it was a very succesfull flight and we can go into christmas holidays soon with a pleased mind.

Today, we received the Permit to Fly by the German airworthiness authorities for the RotorSchmiede VA250 ultralight. We are very happy to move one big step closer to the type certification. Flight testing will start soon. The whole team is proud of reaching this target, especially with the background of the Covid pandemic and all the economical disadvantages the whole industry still needs to deal with.

The second RotorSchmiede VA250 ultralight has been manufactured. Now, we await to get the permit to fly very soon here in Germany. We are happy to use this helicopter for flight testing then.

Yesterday, the China Central Television CCTV visited us from its Berlin office in order to get some material for their report. It can be seen relating to the China International Import Expo 2021 in the next weeks.

Our helicopters arrived in Shanghai. Preparation of our booth at China International Import Expo can start now 🥳

The exhibits for RS Helikopter GmbH - RotorSchmiede, a German exhibitor at , arrived in Shanghai on Oct 13, after departing from Germany’s Hafen Hamburg on board a COSCO Shipping vessel on Sept 16, and will be delivered to the company’s booth by the end of this month.
