„Isolated transport systems were yesterday. Though we are just at the beginning – the Internet of Things already enables connected and autonomous systems for urban mobility of the 21th century. Decentralized mobility systems which communicate with each other and control themselves cybernetically will play a major role in future mobility – the key word for the years and centuries to come is Mobility 4.0. The human being with his or her need for mobility within an intact environment is the driving force of this development. AIRTEC MUNICH will be the platform for developments and innovations in this highly dynamic area, based on the aerospace industry, which always has been the pioneer of mobility technologies.
At AIRTEC MUNICH you will find the so-called "enabling technologies" for today and tomorrow – when airports will be mobility hubs and smart cities arise where various transport systems meet and network. AIRTEC MUNICH, which focuses primarily on these enabling technologies, closes a gap in the international trade fair calendar and I am delighted to be able to participate in this exciting task.“
