Most of you might have heard or sat in his bible classes, but very few know his story and personal challenges. We are excited to announce the final prototype of our long-awaited HCS: the Handheld Control Station. This is a radio communication device for our fleet of drones, with the following capabilities using simple one-handed gestures:

- Flight plans creation
- Flight plans retrieval
- Flight plans download from an external device via Bluetooth
- Flight plans visualization using sonar maps
- Drone pre-flight checks
- Real-time update of controller PID gains
- Full Manual control of the drone using simple gestures

This is a game-changing piece of technology suited for developing countries, with the aim to bring complete drone control to the user using a simple fully 3D-printed device. The HCS does require extensive maintenance as it is built with low-cost electronics. The user doesn't require extensive training and operational planning as it uses simple gestures like a button press and k**b wheel to complete complex tasks.

This prototype is the effort of numerous engineering interns over the last year, who have been challenged for this project to arrive at this point: Oscar Chauke, Mutalukanyi Phusewa, Lutendo Mulaisi, Lefu Mohlabane, we salute you!

We Starting using for the numerical analysis of our retractable landing gear. We've enjoyed understanding the workflow and post-processing outputs.
