Was bringt Solarenergie auf Reisebussen? Ein Praxistest liefert Antworten.

Vor zwei Wochen, haben wir den Scania Reisebus von Michael Pitz mit unserer Solarlösung ausgestattet und ihn gebeten das System auf Herz und Nieren zu testen. Schon auf der ersten einwöchigen Fahrt nach Frankreich konnte die Solarintegration überzeugen. Selbst an regnerischen Tagen reichten die installierten 720Wp aus, dass Herr Pitz den Motor nie im Stand laufen lassen musste - die Batterie blieb voll genug. Ein riesiger Vorteil für den Fahrer und die Passagiere. Keine Lärmbelästigung am Parkplatz und somit noch ein Argument weniger, Reisebusse aus Innenstädten zu verbannen. Und vor allem natürlich gut für den Geldbeutel.
Weiterer Nutzen:

Weniger Diesel & CO₂ durch deutlich weniger Standlauf

Leisere Stopps ohne Lärm- und Abgasbelastung

Mehr Komfort für Fahrer & Passagiere (z. B. Lüftung, USB, Kühlschrank) bei abgestelltem Motor

Der Test ist natürlich gerade erste am Anfang, aber er bestätigt, was wir auch von anderen Installationen kennen. Danke Herr Pitz für die positiven Rückmeldungen und das Testen. Wir werden weiter darüber berichten!

What can solar energy do on coaches? A real-world test provides answers.

Two weeks ago, we equipped Michael Pitz’s Scania coach with our solar solution and asked him to put it to the test. Already on his very first one-week trip to France, the integration proved itself:

Even on rainy days, the installed 720 Wp was enough so that the engine never had to idle – the battery stayed charged at all times.

That means a huge advantage for drivers and passengers alike: no unnecessary noise at parking lots, less pollution, and of course, money saved.

Additional benefits:

Less diesel & CO₂ thanks to reduced idling

Quieter stops without noise and exhaust emissions

More comfort for drivers and passengers (ventilation, USB, fridge) with the engine switched off

The test is still at an early stage, but the first results confirm what we’ve seen with other installations.

☀️ New brand – new logo ☀️
But what does the logo actually stand for?

Our logo is designed to reflect the core of our brand: our innovative solar charge controllers and digital solar products. These are symbolized by the golden-yellow chip at the center of the logo. Encircling this are dark blue solar cells, representing our premium solar modules.
We also wanted to honor our origins. You might notice a similarity to the "old" Sono Motors logo - the "Sono sun" with a circle and a central dot. We've incorporated this connection to our roots through the circular arrangement of solar cells with the chip at its heart.
