Meet one of our key locations in one of Europe’s most vibrant cities.

Welcome to Vienna Floridsdorf—home to Siemens City and the headquarters of Siemens Austria.

Spanning 150,000m², this campus brings together administration, research, development, and production in one place. Every day, nearly 4,000 people come together here to turn ideas into real solutions—for industry, energy, and beyond.

From manufacturing key components for industrial and energy applications to driving innovation across teams, this site is a true high-tech hub.

By utilizing micro grid technologies, digital twins and AI-driven building automation, Siemens City is aiming to be carbon neutral by 2030.

Designed as a modern urban quarter, the campus includes offices, collaborative spaces, and social infrastructure—contributing to a growing district and strengthening the local economy.

By connecting Austrian suppliers, partners, and talent, it plays a key role in driving innovation—not only in Austria, but across Southeast Europe and Central Asia.

As part of our global footprint, locations like this help create lasting value for local communities.

Some ideas deserve a second life.

In 1905, we built the Electric Viktoria — at a time when the world still depended on horses. It was quiet. Clean. Visionary.

With a top speed of 30 km/h with an 80 km range and regenerative braking, it was far ahead of its era. A century later, we’ve recreated it from the original sketches to honor that spirit as a reminder that progress often starts earlier than we think.

For more than 175 years, innovation has been our foundation. From to .

The shape of a hockey blade impacts speed, agility, control.

Elite Blade Performance Technology builds machines that sharpen blades with absolute precision—preserving each player’s unique profile every single time.

Behind the consistency? Our technology.

Our control system, drives, and RFID technology ensure every blade is sharpened exactly the same—game after game.

Because when the game moves this fast, precision is everything. ⚡

160 years ago, one invention changed the world. The dynamo machine.

A device that converts mechanical motion into electricity through electromagnetism - made power generation practical and affordable on a large scale. It didn't just generate electricity; it helped make electricity accessible for everyday use, powering industries, cities, and entirely new technologies.

From the first electric train to lighting entire cities, Werner von Siemens turned a scientific principle into real-world impact.

Today, we're doing it again with . Combining the real and digital worlds to transform industries, build smarter cities, and create a more sustainable future. Same spirit. New era.

What technology do you think will shape the next 160 years?

At innovation starts with being yourself. 🌈

This Pride Month, we celebrate what truly powers progress: people who feel safe to show up, speak up, and be seen for who they are.

Because when every perspective is welcomed, ideas grow stronger. When every voice is heard, collaboration goes further. And when people can be their authentic selves, innovation moves faster.

Across , our LGBTQIA+ colleagues and allies help shape a culture where belonging is not just encouraged—it’s essential. A culture where differences are valued, respected, and recognized as a source of strength.

Pride is a time to celebrate, but also a reminder of the role we all play in creating an inclusive workplace—one where everyone has the opportunity to contribute, grow, and succeed.

Thank you for bringing all of you to all of us, creating a place where every story is valued and everyone belongs.

What does it take to win a race before the car even moves? 🏎️
🔍 Data. Simulation. Digital twins.

We are returning as partners of Marcus Ericsson’s No. 28 car at the Detroit Grand Prix—continuing a nearly 30-year partnership with Andretti INDYCAR & INDY NXT.

Using , Andretti engineers can simulate and optimize performance before hitting the track—reducing engineering analysis time by up to 80%.

With AI, simulation and the digital twin, engineers can:
⚡ predict performance before race day
📊 analyze massive data sets in real time
🔁 run thousands of scenarios in seconds

On May 12, 1881, the world’s first electric streetcar began operating in the Berlin suburb of Lichterfelde — a 2.5-kilometer line connecting the train station to a military academy.

145 years ago, Werner von Siemens had a bold vision: to build an elevated electric railway through central Berlin.

At first, the idea was rejected.

So instead of giving up, he found another way forward.

He converted three horse-drawn carriages, powered them with a 10-horsepower motor — and turned his vision of modern transportation into reality.

The response was immediate.

12,000 passengers in the first three months alone.

What started as a "makeshift solution" on repurposed tracks became a milestone that transformed urban transportation forever.

The lesson? Rejection doesn't mean the end of an idea. It often means finding a better path forward.

What modern do you think will still be celebrated 145 years from now?

Working on your visibility in a global company isn't optional, it's essential.

Christy, Electrical Engineer at Siemens Mobility, replies to a common question:

"How do I make an impact here? How do I get noticed in a global company?"

Technical skills are the core, absolutely. They're essential for the work we do.

But what about investing in soft skills?

Investing in networking, getting to know people, building a collaboration nest, that's what helps you grow and get seen.

The truth? Technical expertise opens doors. But the ability to connect, communicate, and collaborate is what keeps them open.

What's one soft skill that's made a real difference in your career?
