Die Firma pedcad entstand aus den täglichen Anforderungen im Orthopädie-Handwerk. Eine bei der Firma Orthopedie Walter angewandte Methode der Einlagenfertigung war die Basis der Produktentwicklung.

1989 begann Orthopädieschuhmachermeister Dietmar Walter mit der Umsetzung seiner Vision einer rationellen computergestützten Einlagenfertigung. Die hohen Anforderungen des Handwerks sowie die präzise M

ess- und Fertigungstechnik wurden in der pedcad-Lösung vereint. Eigene Ingenieure und Techniker arbeiten seit 1991 an der pedcad-Idee, welche den Anforderungen von Medizin, Wissenschaft und Handwerk in gleichem Maße gerecht wird.

„Das Handwerk zu ehren und den Fortschritt zu nutzen“ ist der unumstößliche Leitsatz der pedcad-Idee.

The pedcad company was born out of the daily demands placed on orthopedic craftsmanship. One of the techniques for producing insoles at the Orthopedie Walter company provided the starting point for product development. In 1989, master orthopedic shoemaker Dietmar Walter began to realize his dream of producing insoles efficiently by applied computer technology. The pedcad solution combines high standards of craftsmanship with precision measurement and production technology. Since 1991, our engineers and technicians have been working to realize the pedcad vision of satisfying the demands of medicine, science and craftsmanship to the same degree.

OT World impressions from Leipzig! 👣

Together with our partner Meindl, we presented pedcad at one of the leading industry events for orthopaedic technology.

Our shared booth had a clear reason: pedcad and Meindl have worked together on the development of a shoe for people with diabetes, including the accompanying clinical study. This collaboration shows how important it is for insole care and shoe care to work hand in hand, especially when medical requirements, comfort and reliable fit need to come together.

The focus at OT World: pedFLOW and the next step in digital insole production. For us, OT World was a great opportunity to exchange ideas, show new workflow possibilities and connect with professionals from the industry.
