Award winning Tecnam P Twenty Ten achieves EASA certification
Today Tecnam is delighted to announce the certification approval by EASA (No. EASA A.576) for the Tecnam P Twenty Ten and the commencement of deliveries to customers throughout Europe.
The Tecnam P Twenty Ten the first new single engine, high wing, four-seat, Part 23 certified aircraft in many decades.
The achievement of EASA Part 23 Certification was the result of extensive investment and the dedicated efforts of all members of the Tecnam organization. The certification programme included over 200 hours of test flights, with more than 100 spinning conditions, lightning tests on full scale assemblies and many other technological achievements.
Tecnam are one of only two OEM’s that are both able and capable to produce GA aircraft incorporating both metal and composite components that can meet the real challenges of ensuring all of EASA’s stringent certification tests are met.
Combining a prepeg carbon fiber fuselage with a metal wing and stabilator/rudder, has allowed Tecnam to optimize aerodynamic quality and reliability. Carbon fiber ensures a lower weight and results in a very streamlined and fuel efficient aircraft.

Tecnam has always paid great attention to comfort for both pilots and passengers. The Tecnam P Twenty Ten incorporates an expansive cabin and three large entry doors. The rear seats feature exceptional legroom, separate third entry door on the right hand side of the fuselage, as well as an external access door to the baggage compartment.
The cabin width also allows for a large instrument panel, with its modular design specifically tailored to allow the customer to fit either an analogue or digital instrumentation package
Three cockpit avionics options are available; analogue IFR, a Garmin G500 IFR or twin-screen Garmin G1000 IFR with integrated autopilot.
Professor Luigi Pascale, Tecnam’s Head of Design and co-founder in 1948, along with his brother Giovanni, said "Finally, today we are happy to have completed all the extensive certification tests with EASA. In this case, my idea was to re-think an aircraft of the category of the beautiful Cessna 172 and 182, high wing, four- seater that for every aircraft designer had set the industry standard for excellence. The challenge with P2010 is then aiming to meet or exceed the same quality or, hopefully, overcome that point of excellence. My only judge, will be, like always, the market”
The P Twenty Ten has been extensively flight tested and validated by many independent GA pilots.
Peter Collins, Test Pilor from Flightglobal said “The P2010 impressed me from the outset. Deliveries to Fight Training Organizations in the Czech Republic, France and Poland will commence immediately as well as private owners in the UK and Spain.
