🎙️In our latest interview on Xometry Pro, Luca Licciulli, CEO and co-founder of Italy-based NEOCAD, discusses how AI could change the way mechanical engineers work with existing CAD data and technical knowledge.

NEOCAD is building an AI layer on top of CAD and PLM systems that can search models by geometry, functionality, dimensions, and feature history, helping engineers find the right part instead of recreating it from scratch.

One of the themes from the conversation was how AI in engineering may evolve into an orchestrator across CAD, simulation, CAM, and technical documentation rather than a standalone CAD generator.

According to Luca, the biggest opportunity is not generating new models from scratch, but making decades of engineering know-how actually usable.

🎙️ In this new interview, Martin Bielicki, CEO and co-founder of Bench explains how they’re building an engineering ex*****on system that connects existing CAD and CAE tools and runs tasks between them.

Instead of replacing software, Bench operates on top of it, tackling things like geometry preparation and CAD reconstruction (including STL-to-parametric workflows). This matters because engineers still spend a huge share of time on manual work, with geometry cleanup alone taking up to 70% in some cases.

At the core is a clear idea: context matters more than raw model power. By capturing design intent, constraints, engineering knowledge, and grounding outputs in deterministic math, Bench aims to make automation more reliable in complex engineering processes.

📗We have released a valuable new SLA 3D Printing Design Guide on Xometry Pro to help you design parts ready for production.

Stereolithography offers high detail, smooth surfaces, and precision, but achieving consistent quality depends on how well your design fits the process. This guide brings together practical design considerations, material options, and production insights to help you get there.

A useful reference if you are working with resin-based 3D printing, including 5 practical design tips highlighted in the carousel.

It was a pleasure to connect in person this April.

Between and , we really enjoyed the opportunity to step away and meet our clients and partners face-to-face.

There was such a great energy at both stands, the perfect setting to discuss the future of the supply chain and how we are scaling AI-driven manufacturing together.

To everyone who stopped by our stands to talk shop, view our latest parts, or explore the platform—thank you for making these events a success.

None of this would be possible without the energy of the team on the ground. Great work!

🎙️Rendering processes are changing as generative AI becomes part of product design. In our new interview, Philip Lunn, CEO of Depix Technologies, Inc., explains how teams are moving away from geometry-first approaches toward intent-driven workflows, where ideas can be turned into high-quality visuals and 3D models in minutes.

Philip describes a shift where, with tools like Depix, a simple idea can quickly become a visualisation detailed enough to support decision-making. This speed opens up a much broader design space and removes one of the biggest constraints teams have always faced: limited time and resources.

🎙️ In our latest 𝗔𝗜 𝗶𝗻 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 interview series on Xometry Pro, Nistha Mitra, CEO and co-founder of Neuramill, shares how her team is building an intelligence layer between CAD and CAM.

CNC programming remains a bottleneck in manufacturing, largely because it relies on individual experience. Much of this knowledge is built over years and rarely captured in a structured way.

From interpreting geometry and GD&T to selecting tools, defining operation sequences, and adjusting parameters, many of these decisions still live in the machinist’s head, making them difficult to transfer, standardize, or reuse across teams.

Neuramill’s approach is to capture this knowledge and turn it into structured, traceable workflows, helping teams generate manufacturing plans faster while keeping machinists in control.
