Beware of leaks: Current incident once again emphasises the importance of consistent H2 measurement! ☝
No one was injured and the response was swift. However, supply bottlenecks and the associated inconvenience for both the H2 supplier and its customers, such as transport companies and filling stations, were the result: at the end of August, a trailer loaded with hydrogen caught fire on a factory site in hashtag , causing a disruption to the supply chain. The incident is attributed to a leak, hydrogen deflagrated and ignited - reported in the trade and local press.

Examples like these repeatedly remind the hashtag that - like fossil fuels - hydrogen as an energy source is also associated with risks. This is literally in the nature of things, which makes it all the more important to uncompromisingly reduce the risks along the entire process and supply chain. Modern measurement technologies for the fast, precise and reliable detection of leaks play a key role here. The new, unique gas analysers from hashtag , for example, have been proven to measure particularly quickly, accurately and stably (even in humid environments) and, thanks to their extremely compact design, also allow easy implementation in a wide variety of locations. With them, we want to play our part in making the handling of hydrogen ever safer.
What are your thoughts on the balance between the benefits of hydrogen as a clean energy source and the inherent risks associated with its use?
