For more than two decades, Light + Building in Frankfurt has been one of the most important meeting points for the international building automation industry – and for many years TAPKO Technologies has been present as an exhibitor. In 2026, the Regensburg-based company will once again be part of the world’s leading trade fair for lighting and building technology.
Visitors will find TAPKO in Hall 11.1, Booth D36, where the company will present its latest developments in KNX system devices, software solutions and OEM technologies. This year’s booth has been deliberately designed as an open and communicative space: in addition to several technical presentation areas with live demonstrations, a Mediterranean-style bar area invites visitors to relax and engage in personal discussions.
More than 26 Years of KNX Engineering
For more than 26 years, TAPKO Technologies has stood for pioneering developments in KNX building automation. Long before KNX became established internationally, TAPKO was already deeply involved in the development of EIB technology, the foundation of today’s KNX standard. At an early stage, the company recognized the tremendous potential of a globally unified system for intelligent buildings.
For many internationally renowned brands in the KNX industry, TAPKO has co-developed devices and subsequently started designing its own system devices. Today, these products are valued worldwide as OEM solutions and successfully integrated into the portfolios of numerous manufacturers.
Throughout the years, TAPKO has remained true to its core principle:
Engineering at its best.
Technologies for the Next Generation of KNX
A central element of TAPKO’s development activities is the KAIstack®, one of the world’s leading KNX communication stacks. It provides full support for KNX Secure and enables efficient device development based on KNX RF Ready.
At the same time, TAPKO’s successful system devices are continuously being further developed. Many products are already available with KNX Secure and enhanced features designed to meet the long-term requirements of growing KNX infrastructures.
Following the last Light + Building exhibition, TAPKO carefully analyzed customer requirements and market potential. Based on these insights, new development projects were immediately initiated – the results of which will now be presented for the first time in Frankfurt.
New Products at Light + Building
Visitors to the TAPKO booth can look forward to several new product solutions designed both for new KNX projects and for the expansion of existing installations.

Meeting Point for Developers, Manufacturers and Partners
Every year, Light + Building provides an important platform for TAPKO to meet partners, customers and developers from around the world. At the booth in Hall 11.1, visitors will have the opportunity to explore new technologies, discuss technical details and exchange ideas about future developments in the KNX ecosystem.
A first insight into the latest developments can also be found in the current TAPKO View magazine. Further information about products and technologies will be continuously updated on the website.
The TAPKO team looks forward to welcoming you in person in Frankfurt.
