Last week, our colleagues from L&R Australia attended the “Wounds Australia national conference” at the Adelaide Convention Center in South Australia.
Under the theme “Assess Dress Compress Express,” they presented L&R’s solutions for debridement, wound care, and compression for patients with venous leg ulcers. Our team welcomed numerous interested healthcare professionals to their booth—but see for yourself!

Around the world, many working parents know the challenge: summer holidays are a special time for children, but they can also require a lot of planning and support at home. In Austria, for example, school holidays last nine weeks – a long period to manage alongside everyday work.

That is why, among others, L&R in Austria offered summer childcare in July 2026 at our Vienna and Schönau sites. Colleagues were able to book childcare for their children while the kids enjoyed varied summer days with activities such as visits to the fire brigade, a llama walk, museum trips, playground adventures, arts and crafts, ball games and plenty of time together.

For us, initiatives like this are a very good way to support work-life balance – by helping families where support is often needed most: in everyday life. A big thank you to everyone who helped make this possible and created safe, joyful and memorable summer days for the children.

Why is everything soooo regulated? 🤔 It’s a question that, in the medical device industry, extends far beyond internal processes—and one that we at L&R are committed to making understandable.
After all, rules, requirements, and processes do not only shape our daily work but also the entire medical device market. This makes it all the more important to make knowledge about these topics accessible, especially within our organization.

Through our internal educational podcast “Why is everything sooo regulatory?”—part of our “Learning Friday” knowledge-sharing series— our colleagues Mirela, Christian, Sabrina, and Michael have been offering behind-the-scenes insights into Regulatory Affairs since May.

They demonstrate what regulatory issues specifically mean for our work at L&R and explain, among other things, the significance of risk classes for medical devices and declarations of conformity, while also providing insight into the key players in the medical device supply chain under the European MDR.

At L&R, knowledge transfer in formats that are as engaging and accessible as possible is an essential part of responsible communication. The better we understand these connections, the better we can work together to support safe, effective, and reliable solutions for patients and users.

❓What does customer centricity look like when it becomes truly immersive❓
For L&R, service orientation and customer centricity go beyond high-quality products, sustainable services and reliable delivery. They also mean creating solutions that help healthcare professionals better understand our products and their application in practice.

A great example was our new VR experience presented at the EORNA Congress in May 2026. Using virtual reality headsets, visitors to our booth could explore our RDI Hip Suit in a realistic surgical environment and experience our solution from a completely new perspective.
From the first steps in the virtual space to the interactive application, curiosity, engagement and enthusiasm were clearly visible. The many conversations, positive feedback and high level of interest showed how valuable innovative formats can be for knowledge transfer and product presentation.

We are proud of the great response to this project – Thanks to everybody involved for their dedication, ideas and passion.
