An outstanding project of tremendous value to the city of Essen and its residents! 🌟 It was a particular pleasure to tailor our self-service solutions to the needs of the Stadtbibliothek Essen and its users, while complementing the impressive interior design.

Medienausleihe leicht gemacht: Ab 13.

A shelf is a shelf is a shelf. Or is it? 🫨
This one is different: custom-fit down to the millimetre, it blends seamlessly into the existing library while automatically checking in every book placed on it. This speeds up the return of up to 1,200 items every day. Significantly!

& Done. 📚
But that’s not all. Stay Curious! 👀

Ergonomisch. Schnell. Effizient.

All aboard! 🚂 🪄 The adventure starts at platform 3 in Ballerup.
Not at the railway station, but in the library: Spor 3!

Across 330 m², books and stories become a playful journey of discovery for children aged 0–6, spread across four imaginative spaces:

🚉 Banegården – The Station
🏘️ Balladebyen – The Play Town
🌳 Bogskoven – The Book Forest
🚀 Rumstationen – The Space Station for Young Explorers

To complement this inspiring setting, Nexbib created a custom-designed kiosk in bespoke colours with a child-friendly appearance. It blends naturally into the library while remaining intuitive, welcoming and easy for families to use.

💡 We believe should do more than simply function. It should enhance the library experience while reflecting the unique identity of every library.

A heartfelt thank you to Ballerup Bibliotekerne for the excellent collaboration. We are delighted to have been part of this wonderful project. ❣️
