⚡ When every connection matters, the solution needs to be engineered for the job.

For the construction of a hydroelectric power plant in France, our Krah community member, System Group, supplied a specially engineered wall pe*******on piece connecting the concrete supply pipe to the turbine.

The system consists of 3 × 6-meter DN/ID 1400 mm Krah pipe segments, forming an 18-meter-long assembly, pre-jointed by electrofusion for a continuous, watertight pipeline.

At the interface with the concrete structure, a mechanical fl**ge end provides the required transition and connection.

A great example of how Krah technology goes beyond conventional pipelines—delivering custom-engineered solutions for demanding infrastructure applications.

Structured wall polyethylene pipes manufactured in accordance with EN 13476 are designed as flexible buried pipe systems.

Their structural performance relies on soil–pipe interaction, whereby controlled deformation enables the pipeline to redistribute stresses induced by traffic loads, differential settlement, and natural ground movement.

Continuous welded joints, like electrofusion, further enhance this behavior by eliminating discontinuities and allowing the pipeline to act as a homogeneous structural system rather than a series of mechanically connected segments.
