Goller in Nuremberg developed the first single-screw injection moulding machine. Since then, we have accumulated a wealth of experience in our factories and converted it into new products and processes. The people in Thuringian Wiehe have also been building small high-performance machines for nearly 40 years. Since its modernisation in 1993, the factory has developed into one of the leading specialist companies for manufacturing small injection moulding machines up to 2,100 kN clamping force. In more than forty years of success and a well established tradition in injection moulding machine design and engineering, Sumitomo (SHI) Demag machines have built up an excellent reputation in the international marketplace.

This week, we kicked off a two-day exchange with our partners and at our technology center in Wiehe, Germany, focusing on process optimisation.

The event once again highlighted how direct collaboration between producers and suppliers helps to push technical boundaries. WAGO and voestalpine have been valued partners for many years, and we are proud of the many successful projects we have realised together – driven by close cooperation and in-depth technical discussions.

Empowering a Local Vision: How IntElect Helps Build Europe’s Semiconductor Future

When Omazić and Omazić founded Polymer Engineering in Croatia, their mission was ambitious and deeply local: Produce recyclable, ultra precise wafer frames - fully made in Europe.

To meet the extremely tight tolerances required for wafer-thin semiconductor components, Meliori selected our all-electric as the core of their production setup. In collaboration with our partner Teh d.o.o., we engineered a fully integrated production cell designed for maximum stability, cleanliness, and repeatability:
🔹 High-precision, repeatable moulding for ultra-thin semiconductor frames
🔹 Clean, energy-efficient production aligned with Meliori’s sustainability goals
🔹 Greater independence from non-European supply chains through localized manufacturing
