FORWARD.

A successful defeat of energy poverty in Sub Saharan Africa, MUST be replaced with eco-civilization. One, in which citizens are consumers and energy famers and uses energy in a smart manner that will strikes a good balance between economic development, job creation and a sustainable relationship between Sub Saharan Africa and nature.

As strange as it may sound, sub Saharan Africa has the awesome chance to leapfrog into 21st century eco-civilization, by stop investing and retrofitting her aging, ineffective utility grid systems... with extreme transmission and distribution losses , and rather start investing and focusing on distributed grid architecture/ microgrids, at community scale– "utility distribution microgrids (UDMs)" … that will catapult the region into pole position, on how future energy will be generated, distributed and utilized in a balanced relationship with economic growth and nature. The
scenarios used in this design to address sub Saharan Africa energy poverty is bereft of subsidies and is completely paid for and scored with Feed in Tariffs (FITs,) mechanism and our designed ,,Green Roof Credit GRC.

AHI batteries will deliver over 3,000 cycles at 100% depth of discharge over a very wide ambient temperature range.

Lead acid battery life varies dramatically with depth of discharge and operating temperature. Even the highest performing lead acid batteries can only last a few thousand cycles at 50% depth of discharge and nominal (25°C) ambient temperature. Applications that do not discharge the battery fully will experience extended cycle life with the AHI battery chemistry: 6,000+ cycles at 50% depth of discharge and 12,000+ cycles at 25%. AHI’s extended cycle life and temperature independence can significantly reduce the total cost of ownership of the system by simply reducing the replacement frequency relative to lead acid battery products

Innovative air nozzle for use in power plants.

Polish Research institute offering the expertise and know-how in advanced energy technologies and clean industrial technologies and, in particular, the combustion technology, developed an air nozzle for use in power plants.
The primary air nozzle developed by the Institute is an inseparable part of the air distributor of a fluidised bed circulation power boiler for solid fuels. The role of the air nozzles is to provide unified air dispersion in the cross-section of the bottom part of the furnace chamber resulting in high combustion effectiveness and low levels of nitrogen oxides and carbon oxides emissions.

The device ensures maximum abrasibility of the bed material and long-term operation without sinters and blocking the air holes.
The basic challenge when designing air nozzles is to be able to form a shape that provides optimal protection against back flow of the bed material into the compressed air boxes with a simultaneous low drop in pressure. The new nozzle geometry efficiently integrates two opposing requirements for these devices: low drop in pressure, which made it possible to reduce the internal load of an electrical power unit, and high resistance to the back flow of the bed material, which enables the unit to work without the need of having costly operational downtime.

The proposed solution is intended for power plants using fluidised bed boilers in the heat and electricity production process.

The Polish institute seeks industrial partners for a Technical co-operation or a Commercial agreement with Technical assistance such as: adaptation to specific needs, engineering and technical consultancy.

Technology for treatment and recovery of any origin fluid waste with high NH3 (ammonia) percentage in its composition

SUMMARY
A Spanish company has developed an integral solution to neutralize, recover and benefit by the use of any organic origin fluid waste from animal, human or industrial with high NH3 (ammonia) percentage in its composition. The technology is able to recover the waste fluid as water. Therefore, it could mean a reliable way to increase the world water availability. The company is seeking partners in order to reach licensing agreement, financial agreement or technical cooperation agreement.

DESCRIPTION
This technology has been specially developed for the treatment of liquid waste with high concentration of NH3 (ammonia), generally coming from industrial or organic origin (animal or human). The input is eventually turned into useful liquid (even fit for human consumption) producing up to approximately 85% of liquid from the original input.

The full concept is developed on a physical-chemical process complemented with thermal treatment, and is carried out under low pressure. The transformation process includes distillation and heat recovery boilers for steam generation in order to obtain low evaporation-condensation temperature. Since this solution, aims to optimize the global sustainability concept, the necessary heat should be obtained from the exhaust heat gases from engines used for power generation. Also photovoltaic or solar thermal energy are an alternative to perform the treatment process.

The wide application scope of this technology permits its implementation in any kind of industry, livestock farming and even in human settlements.

This technology has been developed in a research centre located in real livestock farming, showing extraordinary results when treating the animals waste.
