⚠️ Breaking: California regulator puts Tesla sales ban on hold !

🎙️ Californian DMV reports:
„The California DMV finds Tesla Motors in violation of state law for misleadingly using the terms “autopilot” and “Full Self-Driving Capability” in the marketing of their electric vehicles and provides an opportunity for Tesla to address issues prior to an imposition of a penalty.“

🎙️ German business magazine Handelsblatt reports:

„Tesla is threatening a 30-day sales stop in the US state of California, which is strong in sales. The trigger is the assessment of a court that the company of Tech billionaire Elon Musk had exaggerated the skills of its autopilot assistance system.

🛂 The California transport authority postponed a 60-day implementation of the sales stop to allow Tesla to make changes. If this does not happen, the dealer license will be suspended for 30 days afterwards, the Authority informed.

🛂 The court also proposed to suspend Tesla's manufacturer license in California for 30 days. However, the transport authority put this measure on ice for an indefinite period of time. The Tesla plant in Fremont is located in California.“

📍 This exactly what we are stating since 2017, and a bit more about the legality of Tesla’ continious AP/FSD updates by OTA. Sadly a lot of people got finacially damaged, hurt or even killed due to this evident wrong doing so far untill today.

⚜️ It’s obvious that all these people will now have a new, much better legal opportunity to obtain moral justice and a financial relieve for their cause.

🛜 Well, we spoke out about AP/FSD pretty loud as well: Stop Tesla as ! NoCoP stands for no conformity of production. No conformity of production means in the automotive industry, that new technical approval is required for upgrades, otherwise OEM have no authority to sell and drive their cars on public roads. Updating software by OTA, without any checking by official authority, in fact is a direct violation (bypassing) of this worldwide CoP regulation. 🛂

⏳ This criticism we stated back in the year 2017 already, as first lethal crashes with AP occurred. It took (way too) long to get this important message to the right people then: innocent people get sacrified purely for the sake of business profit. Tesla‘ veil approach then got confirmed by an ex-Tesla‘ engineer revealing in court their Autopilot Launch video was actually a fake.

♻️ The European Council held an in-depth discussion on how to further reinforce EU competitiveness, building on its conclusions of March and June 2025 and focusing on simplification, a competitive green transition and a sovereign digital transition. It calls for a step change in the EU’s action and will keep all strands of the competitiveness and Single Market agenda under review, as this is key for sustaining Europe’s prosperity and social model.

🅰️ VW needs a hard reset. In my view Piëch‘ legacy was too big to manage, and a downfall to be expected. It‘s sad to see this powerhouse struggling with internal issues. Some are very old, like the wages and complex structures, and very hard to solve. Success is never lasting infinite. Ups & downs are normal, like in real life.

✳️ Resilience being one of the German strengths, I‘m confident they will overcome this crisis. You should never underestimate them, similar as the Japanese. In Germany we say: „Todgesagten leben länger ….“

❇️ And there’s still some bright light within the VW Group: CUPRA, Škoda Group and very surprisingly Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. are all performing much better than average ! 🆙

⚡️⚡️Fünf Industrieverbände fordern 🔋🔋🔋 Batterie-Strategie der 🇩🇪Bundesregierung ⚡️⚡️

✴️ Ein Bündnis von Kompetenznetzwerk Lithium-Ionen-Batterien KLIB, der Verband der Chemischen Industrie VCI, der Verband der Automobilindustrie VDA, des Maschinen- und Anlagenbaus VDMA sowie der Verband der Elektro- und Digitalindustrie ZVEI warnen in einem offenen, gemeinsamen Schreiben, dass die „Weiterentwicklung des bislang in seinen Anfängen stehenden Batterieökosystems droht, zum Erliegen zu kommen“. Die fünf Verbände sehen den „Batteriestandort und somit das Batterieökosystem in 🇩🇪Deutschland und 🇪🇺 Europa (!) in Gefahr“.

The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said on Thursday that it is opening an investigation into 2.88 million Tesla vehicles equipped with its Full Self-Driving system over more than 50 reports of traffic-safety violations and a series of crashes.
