In this video, our allround retarders SV5 and SV3 are shown. SV3 shows a significantly longer delay compared to the SV5 retardation profile.
For a longer mesh open time, we recommend our SV3 hardener.
Our portfolio offers a wide range of hardeners with different properties to meet diverse application needs.
Adding retarders to screen printing inks can significantly influence their drying behavior and overall performance. Retarders slow down solvent ev***ration, improving flow, leveling, and open screen time. This helps to prevent ink drying in the mesh, reduces clogging, and ensures consistent print quality, especially in warm or fast-drying conditions.
The use of retarders can also affect adhesion, surface smoothness, and block resistance, depending on the formulation and application. Marabu offers a range of retarders designed for different ink systems and printing requirements.
Detailed recommendations for suitable retarders can be found in the technical data sheet of each ink or in our overview documents.
