Hands-on equine OPU training in Belgium this November.

Join Dr. Juan Cuervo-Arango Lecina (PhD, MSc, CertVRep, Dipl. ECAR Equine) for a 1.5-day workshop at Ghent University, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. The programme covers medication and ethics, the general procedure and different techniques, latest studies, a demonstration on live mares, hands-on practice on slaughterhouse material and oocyte collection and handling in the lab.

🌼 Officially a „Blühender Betrieb“.

Bavaria’s Environment Minister Thorsten Glauber presented Minitube with the “Blooming Business” award for turning our headquarters into habitat, not landscaping.

Wildflower meadows. Native hedges. An insect hotel. A sandarium. A nature trail that explains it all. Two years of work, driven by our own colleagues.

Only 131 companies in Bavaria hold this award. In the Landshut/Dingolfing region, we’re among the first.

🏆 Award-winning design. Built for everyday usability.

Yesterday, our CEO Katharina Rohrmüller and our CTO Kilian Simmet represented Minitube at the Red Dot Design Award Ceremony in Essen, joining designers and innovators from around the world to celebrate this year's Red Dot Award winners.

We're proud that our MiniQube is among the winners, recognizing its combination of advanced technology and intuitive, user-centered design.

Developed together with QubeDot GmbH, MiniQube is our compact digital microscope for use with AndroVision® CASA software, supporting precise, standardized, and user-friendly semen analysis.

For us, great design is about more than aesthetics. It's about creating solutions that simplify complex tasks and help our customers work more efficiently every day.

A new Simmet Prize laureate. 🏆

At the 20th ICAR Congress in Obihiro, Japan, with a record 1,100+ participants, Professor Peter J. Hansen (University of Florida) received the 2026 Simmet Prize for Assisted Reproduction, honored for advancing the science of protecting cattle fertility from heat stress.

Endowed with €50,000 and awarded every four years, the prize commemorates the pioneering work of Dr. Ludwig Simmet. Presented by Dr. Christian Simmet in memory of his father.

Opening our doors to the community 🫱🏽‍🫲🏼

After many people asked when they would finally get the chance to see our new headquarters, we decided to do more than just offer a glimpse – we opened our doors to everyone.

Last weekend, employees, families, former colleagues, local residents, students, and other interested visitors joined us for our Open House event at Minitube. Visitors had the opportunity to explore our facilities, gain insights into assisted reproductive technologies, experience interactive demonstrations, and meet the people behind our innovations.

From laboratory tours and logistics insights to hands-on activities and presentations, visitors gained a unique look into our work and the technologies that support animal reproduction around the world.

What made the day truly special was the atmosphere: curious questions, engaging conversations, proud employees sharing their expertise, and visitors who stayed much longer than they originally planned.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible – from organizing and guiding tours to preparing activities, food, and countless details behind the scenes.

One visitor summed it up perfectly:

"I only planned to stay for a short while ... and ended up staying much longer."

And just like that, Minitube Porcine TechDays 2026 has come to an end! 🐷

Day 2 got hands-on: from s***m concentration measurement to contamination-free production, plus Prism10, the AndroVision® eFlow CASA system, and our newest lab devices live in action. ⚙️

Two days, 80 people on-site and many more online, and a whole lot of innovation shared. Thank you for making it so special! 💚

Safe travels home, everyone, we hope you take home not just new ideas, but great memories too. ✈️🏡
