The Eagle has landed! After approximately 3,5 hours of Flight the Pilot had to cutoff the balloon. Maximum altitude was at ~27800m and we‘ve lost connection at 2188m over ground. At that Occasion we want to thank our Sponsor Leica Geosystems for Supporting us and made this Campaign possible!

The next QUEST is waiting for us.

We‘re got a Liftoff! At 0842 the balloon was Released and our Experiment is on its Journey to the Stratosphere. The Groundstation and Scientific Support Unit will be manned throughout the flight and were thrilled to see first results!

So our Gondola is Flight Ready. At 0200 next Night Flight Compatibility Test is on our schedule. After that, Countdown is starting and we‘re at the point of no return.

The last tweaking of our Software for the Scientific Support Unit and Groundstation, then were ready to line up for the Flight Compatibility Test (FCT)

After a long time search for our Network-Leak we have to replace two boards and solder our PDU to a new configuration. But this evening everything regarding mechanic and hardware should be ready to go, then we need only software finetuning. The motivation is on a new high!

Today we tested our experiment in the gondola. Different scenarios were tested like an unexpeceted power loss and the network connection over the E-Link system of the Bexus ballon infrastructure.

Finally we passed the indivudal test! 😍
