Our team installed this 4M clamshell dome on a roof terrace in the beautiful Steiermark, in Austria this week for one of our customers. The dome will hold a high-end, locally manufactured 600MM Newton astrograph with an extremely thin primary mirror.

Our DOME PARTS optical team installed this dual hybrid clamshell observatory for a customer near Berlin in Germany.
The modular RC-33AS observatory is the ideal multi-telescope setup for schools and astronomy clubs. The system evolves around modular observing sections that are connected by tunnel-modules. The observatory can be extended any time in the future. Each section easily holds a 20" RC on a heavy mount.

The RD-400 consists of main 4M large clamshell dome unit and a wide range of riser walls and mounting adapter rings, to create the optimal configuration for your observatory. All risers can also be used to make combinations. A special labyrinth-brush system makes this an absolutely dust-, sand-, water- and snow-tight clamshell observatory dome, that is the optimal shelter for your expensive instrumentation.

Another batch of five RC-33 hybrid clamshell observatories for India have their first-time build-up and testing, before they are shipped to Lahore, India.
The RC-33 observatory is the affordable alternative for expensive glass fiber domes. A rugged steel frame, 10MM steel shutter guide rails, aluminium-sandwich covering for all walls and shutters, makes this the observatory of choice. A dual belt drive system with re-directors guarantee reliable operation. We supply either SEMI- or FULL automatic, ASCOM compliant shutter control systems.
