𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗜&𝗜 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀!

Through a combination of general and application-focused presentations, participants gained deeper insights into B*K’s additive solutions for Home Care I&I and Personal Care applications.

A strong focus was placed on practical solutions related to rheology, waxes, surface additives, and defoamers, as well as new developments and application examples. In addition, the program included insights into R&D, biotechnology, sustainability, and recycling, complemented by an exciting tour of the laboratory and production facilities.

As part of the exploring careers project, we were delighted to welcome the preschool children from “DRK Kita Abenteuerland” to B*K in Wesel, Germany, where they had the opportunity to become young scientists for a day. 🤩

Together with our Paint Lab Assistant training team and apprentices, the children playfully explored the world of coatings. Through age-appropriate experiments, they discovered how foam is formed and the role it plays in coatings, using finger paint as a hands-on example.

With great curiosity, creativity, and enthusiasm, the young researchers gained their first insights into the exciting profession of a Paint Lab Assistant.

A big thank you to everyone involved in making this inspiring experience possible and helping to spark children's interest in science.

In collaboration with our distributor KRAHN Chemie Group, we recently hosted a customer seminar in Lainate, Italy, welcoming around 25 customers to exchange insights on additives for architectural and decorative coatings.

The customer seminar focused on key application areas, including wetting and dispersing additives, antifoams and defoamers, rheology control, and solutions for liquid membranes as well as building and construction applications.

Beyond the technical sessions, the event provided a valuable platform for direct dialogue, knowledge sharing, and strengthening relationships with our distributor and customers.

🏆 We are proud to have received the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗥𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 for our innovative powder wetting and dispersing additives, 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗕𝗬𝗞-𝟮𝟮𝟵𝟬 and 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗕𝗬𝗞-𝟮𝟮𝟵𝟭, which were developed for environments with extremely high alkalinity. The award ceremony took place on May 19, 2026, in Shanghai, where our colleague Ming Shan, Senior Specialist for Decorative Coatings and Construction Chemicals, represented the company in accepting the award.

In construction chemistry formulations, water-based systems with extremely high pH level, such as cement-based mortars and inorganic silicate coatings, have long suffered from poor dispersion stability of pigments, mineral binders, and fillers. Conventional wetting and dispersing additives typically face significant challenges under such extremely alkaline conditions. This can lead to critical formulation problems such as particle reagglomeration, incosistent coloring, thickening after storage, and gelation.

𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗕𝗬𝗞-𝟮𝟮𝟵𝟬 and 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗕𝗬𝗞-𝟮𝟮𝟵𝟭 were specifically developed to overcome this industry bottleneck. They offer excellent initial wettability, dispersion, and stabilization even in highly alkaline environments with a pH ≥ 13.

Our colleagues in India participated at the knowledge sharing seminar organized by IPCA in Ghaziabad, India. NIRAJ SAYNERE represented the B*K team and presented on “B*K solutions for decorative coating challenges.” With smart coating and sustainability being the need of the hour, the session was both insightful and engaging for the audience.

Events like these create a platform for manufacturers, suppliers and technical experts to connect and discuss solutions that help solve customers’ challenges while keeping a keen focus on sustainability.
