Since 1981 Kusch Yachts has been professional Partner in designing and constructing (including repair and re-fitting) of Mega Yachts

For more than 35 years Kusch Yachts is the professional partner in designing and constructing of Mega Yachts up to 140 meters. The company was founded in 1981 by Claus Kusch (* 1944 - † 2004) who delivered his first yacht "Lady Georgina" in 1982. From that time on Kusch Yachts have been placing orders for a range of international clients with different shipyards. In 2000 Claus Kusch found the congenial and reliable partner he was looking for. This was Peters Werft located in Wewelsfleth, Germany - a shipyard that follows a 140-year-old tradition. Since then this competent affiliate has opened up new ways of transforming the ideas of Kusch Yachts into reality. Today, Kusch Yachts is active in all areas of Mega Yachts:

Zwei Docks, flexible Möglichkeiten. Unsere beiden Trockendocks sind modern ausgestattet: Dock 1 misst 135 Meter, Dock 2 kommt auf 115 Meter Länge. Beide sind 22 Meter breit, 5,5 Meter tief und jeweils mit einer flexiblen Wetterschutzhalle überdacht.
Ob Sonne, Regen oder Frost, dank Beheizung, Belüftung und anpassbarer Hallenhöhe kann wetterunabhängig und effizient gearbeitet werden. Zusätzlich stehen in beiden Docks Bürocontainer bereit, damit sich Planung und Ausführung direkt vor Ort verbinden lassen. Ergänzt wird unsere Infrastruktur durch fünf Schiffsliegeplätze mit über 500 laufenden Metern.

Two docks, flexible options. Our two dry docks are equipped with modern facilities: Dock 1 measures 135 metres, Dock 2 is 115 metres long. Both are 22 metres wide, 5.5 metres deep and each covered with a flexible weather protection hall.
Whether sun, rain or frost, the heating, ventilation and variable hall height enable work to be carried out efficiently regardless of the weather. Office containers are also available in both docks to combine planning and realisation directly on site. Our infrastructure is complemented by five ship berths with over 500 running metres.

Mit unserer neuen Rohrbiegemaschine „Tubomat“ wird Präzision zum Standard. Sie biegt Rohre aus Stahl, Edelstahl oder Cunife mit einem Durchmesser von bis zu 42 Millimeter und einer Länge von bis zu 3000 Millimetern – schnell, zuverlässig und in perfekte Form. Dank des integrierten Zeichenprogramms für isometrische Darstellungen lassen sich Rohrleitungen ganz einfach planen und bei Bedarf exakt reproduzieren.

Der Tubomat kann mit kontrollierter Krafteinwirkung und automatisierter Technik Rohre in verschiedene Winkel und Formen biegen und sorgt so Rohr für Rohr für saubere Ergebnisse.

With our new “Tubomat” tube bending machine, precision becomes standard. It bends tubes made of steel, stainless steel or Cunife with a maximum diameter of 42 millimetres and a length of up to 3000 millimetres - quickly, reliably and to the perfect shape. The integrated drawing programme for isometric representations makes it easy to plan pipelines and reproduce them exactly if required.

The Tubomat is able to bend tubes into various angles and shapes using controlled force and automated technology, ensuring seamless results tube after tube.

Nach vielen Monaten Aufenthalt auf der Werft, verließ die M/Y Pelorus im Sommer unser Werftgelände, um ihre Fahrt weiter anzutreten. Während ihrem Aufenthalts wurden Schönheitsreparaturen und Wartungen vorgenommen.

After many months at Peters Werft, the M/Y Pelorus left our shipyard in the summer to continue her voyage. During her stay, cosmetic repairs and maintenance were carried out.

We’ll again exhibit in tent Albert 1er, at stand no. AL 29.

We will not only present the company Kusch Yachts, but also our mother company Peters Werft, as co-exhibitor.

Am Dienstagnachmittag wurde die Megayacht AL MIRQAB ausgedockt. Die 133 m lange Yacht, die bei Kusch Yachts und Peters Werft in Wewelsfleth gebaut und 2008 an den Eigner abgeliefert wurde, lag fast ein Jahr für umfangreiche Reparatur- und Wartungsarbeiten im Trockendock. Die Restarbeiten werden am Ausrüstungskai durchgeführt.

The mega yacht AL MIRQAB was undocked on Tuesday afternoon. The 133 m long yacht, which was built at Kusch Yachts and Peters Werft in Wewelsfleth and delivered to the owner in 2008, was in drydock for almost one year, for extensive repair and maintenance work. The remaining work will be carried out at the outfitting quai of the shipyard.
