🌍 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗗𝗮𝘆 | 5 June 2026

At ABO Energy, we believe the energy transition is one of the most powerful ways to reduce our global environmental impact.

Today, renewables already account for around 30% of global electricity, helping to cut millions of tonnes of CO₂ emissions every year.

By developing wind, solar and hybrid projects worldwide, we are actively contributing to protecting natural resources and building a more sustainable energy system. 🌱

Renewables are our DNA.

☀️ 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗱 | Our Enchenreuth solar farm is now live!

Our solar farm in Enchenreuth has officially been connected to the grid and is now producing renewable energy.

With a total capacity of 6.8 MW and comprising 11,830 bifacial modules, the project also features a cable route across the highest elevation of the Franconian Forest. 🌳

A big thank you to all partners and stakeholders, including landowners, the municipality, and local authorities, for the excellent collaboration that made it possible! 🌱

🌬️ ABO Energy Spain has joined more than 45 organisations in signing the Spanish Wind Energy Association’s (AEE) Joint Declaration with municipalities, strengthening collaboration for sustainable local development.

Representing around 80% of Spain’s installed wind capacity and more than 45,000 residents living alongside wind energy facilities, the initiative is built on key principles such as:

➡️ shared benefits,
➡️ continuous dialogue,
➡️ and environmental best practices

This highlights that the energy transition must be developed with communities, not on them. 🏘️

More importantly, this Declaration is not an end in itself, but the beginning of a permanent space for dialogue and collaboration between companies, municipalities and local communities, helping ensure that the energy transition creates lasting value for the territories where renewable projects are developed.

This milestone marks an important step toward a fair and responsible energy transition that creates value locally while reinforcing Spain’s wind energy leadership.

🌿 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁 #𝟭𝟭 | What do compensation measures look like at ABO Energy?

Wind, solar and battery storage projects are key to tackling climate change, but they also come with responsibility. Every intervention in nature is subject to strict environmental standards and must be fully compensated.

So what does that look like in practice? From establishing habitats for birds of prey in Uckley to relocating wood ant colonies in Kirchhain, or from restoring former industrial sites to developing resilient mixed forests in Schnorbach, these are some examples of how our projects actively support biodiversity. 🐝

💚 A big thank you to our environmental experts for ensuring that all our projects have the lowest possible impact on nature.

🐏 More sheep-grazing? Yes!

End of March, sheep started to graze in our 4.8 MWp Lommersum solar farm, located in North Rhine-Westfalia, Germany.

By grazing naturally, the sheep help maintain healthy soil biodiversity and reduce the environmental impact of vegetation management. They also prevent grass from growing too tall and casting shade on the solar panels, ensuring optimal energy production. And it’s a win-win: the solar farm provides natural pasture for the sheep. 🌱

Thank you to the Philipps family of shepherds for trusting us to let their sheep graze on our solar farm.

On May 16, we hosted the first of three environmental events linked to the Valdezorita Solar Farm at Yebra Town Hall in Guadalajara (Castilla-La Mancha), Spain.

👉 The focus of the session? The protection of steppe birds and the coexistence of biodiversity and renewable energy.

The event brought together local residents, including many farmers, who had the opportunity to learn from a specialist about best practices for conserving steppe bird species.

Following the session, attendees visited the solar farm, which was developed and built by ABO Energy as its first turnkey solar project in Spain. We remain involved in the project through its operation and maintenance (O&M) as well as its environmental management.

There, they could explore the various biodiversity and environmental integration measures implemented at the site:
🏜️ The compatibility of dryland herbaceous farming with steppe bird conservation
🌿 Features such as vegetation screening, wildlife-friendly perimeter fencing, and sheep grazing within the park.

The visit also offered insight into the technical components of the facility, including photovoltaic modules, inverters, transformers, the electrical substation, and the waste storage area.

A big thank to all visitors and to all parties involved in the organisation!

👋 Grüße von der Baustelle!

Unser Bauleiter Tobias gibt spannende Einblicke in den Bau des Windparks Marpingen im Saarland. 🏗️

📱 Thinking of how to charge your phone thanks to renewable energy?

It is possible in the Lubuskie region, Poland, where we installed a solar panel connected to four USB charging ports.

Thank you to our team in Poland for the organisation of this small yet impactful project!

𝟱𝟬𝟬 𝗠𝗪 𝗼𝗳 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 | A track record built on the ground

Since establishing ourselves in France in 2002, ABO Energy has been developing and commissioning renewable energy projects that actively contribute to the energy transition of local regions.

Today, we are proud to surpass the 500 MW milestone in France.
Beyond the figure, this milestone represents:
◽ locally produced renewable electricity
◽ a contribution to the French energy mix
◽ economic benefits for local communities
◽ sustainable, local jobs that cannot be offshored

⚡ Wind power, solar PV, agrivoltaics, storage: this progress is above all the result of the collective work and commitment of ABO Energy teams, alongside numerous local stakeholders.

Every project delivered is the outcome of dialogue, technical expertise, and a shared ambition to support the energy transformation of local areas. 💚

Renewables are our DNA!
