True beauty comes from within! 🤩Today we want to share an from Dikarlo, our Research and Development Manager, concerning our condition in early autumn.
Because when the temperatures fall and wind, cold weather and dry heating air increasingly dry out our skin, not only moisturisers but also our can help us to prevent this.
How? By eating Jerusalem artichoke (in Germany also called Topinambur), beans or fermented foods like kefir and yoghurt. 🍽️
Why? They contain a special type of multiple sugars, named galactooligosaccharides. Those literally feed our good bacteria, the bifidobacteria. Bifidobacteria are particularly resistant and belong among the probiotically effective microorganisms. This is because they can restrict unwanted intestinal bacteria and pathogens. And that is exactly what they do for our skin: They intercept phenolic metabolites from the natural protein breakdown of other types of bacteria, which can lead to dehydration of the skin.
Sounds interesting? Try it out – your skin will thank you!
By the way, you can find more exciting articles on the topics of nutrition and intestinal health in our magazine "My Health My Life":
