Two construction sites, short time frames, numerous challenges – and one machine in versatile use.
The Wirtgen SP 33 recently demonstrated its impressive versatility in Austria: Within a week, it produced agricultural track paths and curb and gutter profiles – from the plains of Lower Austria to the mountains of Styria.
In Sieghartskirchen, an agricultural concrete track path was being paved for agricultural vehicle use. This was immediately followed by the Semmering Tunnel, where the SP 33 installed a curb and gutter profile over an existing profile. Precision and time were of the essence here.
Exchanging the slipform moulds took only one day instead of the usual two to three days.
Different profiles, different locations – the SP 33 demonstrated what true job-site flexibility really means.
