Meet the Expert: Health starts with awareness. 🧠

Meet Alissa Freiberg, Working Student HR at Jokey, with a focus on occupational health management. 🤝

As part of her role, Alissa helps organize and shape Jokey’s Health Days, bringing her knowledge from her studies in Applied Psychology and Counselling into practice.

This year, the Health Days focused on the connection between health and workplace safety. From sleep and muscle relaxation to addiction prevention, the program gave employees practical ways to engage with their health. 🚀

For Alissa, it all comes down to one thing: “Health is our most important resource.”

The future of packaging needs constructive dialogue. 🤝

On August 7, we welcomed Dr. Carsten Brodesser, Member of the German Bundestag, to our headquarters in Wipperfürth for an exchange on the future of packaging, circularity and the challenges facing the sector. ♻️

A key topic was the proposed national tax on plastic packaging and its potential impact on businesses, investment and the transition towards a circular economy.

At Jokey, we believe that environmental responsibility and economic competitiveness need to go hand in hand. We are putting this approach into practice through investments in recyclable packaging solutions, recycled materials and closed material loops. 🚀

Meet Adam Domin, Technical Director at Jokey Poland. 👋

Since joining Jokey in 1996, Adam's career has taken him from Machine Operator to Technical Director: a journey shaped by continuous learning, technical expertise, and a passion for improvement. 🚀

What Adam values most is the open collaboration, mutual support, and team spirit that connect our Jokey plants across countries.

Outside of work, for Adam, family comes first. He also enjoys traveling, sports and cars with character, and volunteers for an animal welfare organization to support neglected animals.

Together with our partners circolution and Kaffee Braun, we won the German Packaging Award in the "Logistics and Material Flow" category! 🍾

Our reusable bucket was honored by the jury as a “sustainable benchmark for B2B logistics” and impressively demonstrates how reusable systems can also be successful in industrial practice.

We celebrate this award as recognition of our innovative power and are delighted that sustainable packaging solutions are receiving the attention they deserve.

The cream of the crop. 🏆

Our 1 kg packaging for dairy products impressed the independent jury, earning us the German Packaging Award in the "Sustainability (Material Reduction)" category. 🥳

Since 2011, we have reduced the weight of the JSLB 1090 by 35%, which is one-of-a-kind and has many benefits for production and logistics. Weighing just 30 g, it is now the lightest packaging on the market that meets all customer requirements for 1 kg of dairy products.
