Breaking Ground for the Future 🚧

Yesterday marked a major milestone in the history of OCS:
The official ground-breaking ceremony for our new company headquarters on the MARK 51°7 site in Bochum.

Together with our valued project partners OTTO QUAST , Runkel and msp architekten GmbH, as well as representatives from Bochum Perspektive GmbH and other guests, we celebrated the start of an exciting new chapter for our company.

Under slightly cloudy skies but in great spirits, management, partners, and guests took up their spades to officially kick off construction.
This symbolic act represents more than just a new building, it stands for innovation, sustainability, and forward thinking.
Our new headquarters is the next logical step after years of strong growth.
It will be a modern, collaborative, and inspiring workplace, a place where ideas take shape and teamwork thrives.

A heartfelt thank-you to everyone contributing to this project especially our partners and the many dedicated people making this vision a reality. 🙏

We’re looking forward to the coming months as our new home takes shape and we can’t wait to share the journey with you!

Today, we are celebrating a special anniversary! 🎉

Since 1990, OCS has stood for innovation, precision, and reliability in optical quality control for the plastics and polymer industry.

What began as a small venture has grown into an internationally active company with around 130 employees – driven by continuous growth, technological excellence, and a strong sense of team spirit.

Special thanks go to all our colleagues who have made this development possible – and to our management for their continued vision, guidance, and dedication over all the years. 🔥

Our joint barbecue to mark the anniversary was an expression of this appreciation and a wonderful moment to pause and celebrate together. 🍽️

🌟 Giving Back to the local Community: Our First Donation of the Year 🌟
As we reflect on a successful business year, we also feel it’s important to give back. This year, we decided to donate to two charitable causes. Today, we’re excited to share more about the first of these donations, which goes to Tafel Wattenscheid.
We had the pleasure of welcoming Kadir Can Karabas to our headquarters, where he gave us an insightful overview of the work, projects, and challenges faced by Tafel Wattenscheid.
It was truly inspiring to get a behind-the-scenes look at their impactful efforts. It’s a local initiative that directly supports people in our region and contributes to improving their quality of life.
Although we had already chosen Tafel Wattenscheid as a donation recipient, our conversation reaffirmed that we made the right decision. 💡
We are confident that this contribution will support their crucial work in helping those in need, and we hope it makes a small but meaningful difference. ✨

Supporting a Heartfelt Cause🚐

Our donation of €10,000 goes to the ASB KV Witten e.V. Wünschewagen – an incredible initiative dedicated to granting the last wishes of terminally ill individuals.

We were honored to welcome Kirsten Schäfer to our headquarters 🏢, where she shared deeply moving insights into this extraordinary project. The Wünschewagen provides a unique and compassionate service, creating unforgettable moments for those nearing the end of their journey.

The stories Kirsten shared about the individuals they’ve helped, and how the Wünschewagen makes their dreams come true, touched us deeply. 💙 The Wünschewagen is also a local initiative that directly helps people in our region by fulfilling their last wishes. From reunions to visits to meaningful places, every wish fulfilled is a testament to the dedication of everyone involved in this project.

By sharing this, we hope to raise awareness of the invaluable work being done by the Wünschewagen team.
We are proud to support such a meaningful cause and hope our contribution can play a small part in making more wishes come true.

🎄 Festive Year-End Celebration at OCS 🎄
Last Friday, December 6th, 2024, we came together to celebrate Nikolaus – and we did it in grand style!
Starting at 5:00 PM, we gathered at Acqua in Dortmund, located near the stadium, to wrap up the year in a fitting manner.
Everything was perfectly arranged for our employees and their families:
A 5-course menu that left nothing to be desired provided culinary highlights for everyone. In a relaxed and festive atmosphere, we enjoyed exquisite Italian delicacies while the children were in excellent hands.
Thanks to Cool-for-Kids, parents were able to unwind while the little ones engaged in crafting, face painting, and lots of fun activities.
A special highlight of the evening – as is tradition at an OCS winter celebration – was our employee raffle, generously sponsored by the management. 🎁
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this evening so special – whether through their support in organizing, their presence, or the positive energy they brought along. 💙
