🚧 Jede Modernisierung beginnt mit einem ersten Schritt

Für unseren Kunden ZHT Holzverwertung GmbH & Co. KG Thüringen in Saalburg-Ebersdorf (Member of Zollikofer Group) ist dieser Schritt nun gemacht: Die Modernisierung eines Trommelhackers Typ PHT 850x1450, Baujahr 1999, ist gestartet.

Nach einem Schadensfall zu Beginn des Jahres standen unsere Kollegen Björn Schotthöfer und Jonas Kau dem Kunden von Anfang an zur Seite. Gemeinsam wurden die notwendigen Schritte abgestimmt, Lösungen entwickelt und die weiteren Maßnahmen auf den Weg gebracht.

Jetzt geht es los: Mit dem Abbau der Anlage ist der erste große Meilenstein erreicht. 🔧

Für unser Modernisierungsteam beginnt damit eine spannende Aufgabe: einer bewährten Maschine neues Leben einzuhauchen, sie technisch auf den neuesten Stand zu bringen und fit für die Zukunft zu machen.

🎯 Unser Ziel: Die modernisierte Anlage noch in diesem Jahr auszuliefern und – ganz im Sinne des Kundenwunsches – ebenfalls noch in diesem Jahr wieder in Betrieb zu nehmen.

🚧 Every modernization starts with a first step

For our client ZHT Holzverwertung GmbH & Co. KG Thüringen in Saalburg-Ebersdorf (part of the Zollikofer Group), that step has now been taken: the modernization of a PHT 850x1450 drum chipper (built in 1999) has officially started.

Following an incident earlier this year, our colleagues Björn Schotthöfer and Jonas Kau supported the client from the very beginning. Together, they coordinated the necessary steps, developed solutions, and set the next steps in motion.

Now things are really getting underway: The dismantling of the machine marks the first major milestone. 🔧

For our modernization team, this marks the beginning of an exciting task: breathing new life into a proven machine, bringing it up to the latest technical standards, and preparing it for the future.

🎯 Our goal: To deliver the modernized machine later this year and, in line with the client’s wishes, put it back into operation before the year is over.

During our Area Sales Manager Andre Krahl's visit to Fervent Multiboard Industries Ltd. in Bangladesh, we had the opportunity to see something special: machines from our company that have been operating reliably for over 30 years – a powerful testament to quality and durability.

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘇𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗲𝗿𝘂𝗻𝗴, 𝗱𝗶𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗘𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗯𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗿𝘁! 📈

Bei unserem jüngsten Serviceeinsatz bei der Fa. Otto Graf GmbH stand die Optimierung von zwei Feinmahlanlagen mit Scheibenmühlen Typ PKMN im Fokus. Ziel war es, das vorhandene Potenzial der Anlagen bestmöglich auszuschöpfen und die Prozessstabilität weiter zu verbessern. ⚙️

🚀 Durch die gezielte Anpassung der Prozessparameter konnten wir den Prozess deutlich stabilisieren und die Durchsatzleistung spürbar steigern. Das Ergebnis: ein effizienterer und zuverlässigerer Anlagenbetrieb.

Der nächste Schritt ist bereits in Planung: Mit einer Modernisierung der Anlagen möchten wir die Durchsatzleistung weiter erhöhen und den Prozess noch robuster gegenüber äußeren Einflüssen gestalten. 🔧

During our recent service visit to Otto Graf GmbH, we focused on optimizing two pulverizing systems with disc mills type PKMN. The objective was to maximize the systems' performance while further enhancing process stability. ⚙️

🚀 Through the precise adjustment of process parameters, we significantly enhanced process stability while increasing throughput. The result: higher efficiency, improved reliability, and a more robust operation.

🔧 Looking ahead, we are planning the next step: modernizing the systems to further increase throughput and make the process even more robust.

During their trip across Türkiye, Björn Schotthöfer and Mirco Ratzke, together with our colleagues Nilgün Binbay and Barlas ORAN from our Turkish subsidiary, visited our long-standing customer, Starwood Orman Ürünleri A.Ş.

⚙️During the plant tour, we had the opportunity to see several of our machines in operation, including the refiner, knife ring flaker, chipper, and double-stream mill. It is always rewarding to see our equipment delivering reliable and efficient performance in day-to-day production.

In addition to reviewing the existing installations, we also discussed future developments. Together, we explored opportunities to modernize and optimize existing systems, helping them meet evolving production requirements while further enhancing performance and operational efficiency.

Long-standing collaboration enables us to identify challenges early, develop sustainable solutions together, and create lasting value for our customers. 🤝

As part of our trip to Türkiye, Björn Schotthöfer and Mirco Ratzke, together with our colleagues Nilgün Binbay and Barlas ORAN from our Turkish subsidiary, visited our long-standing partner Kastamonu Entegre. 🌍

🏭 During the visit, we also toured the knife-ring flaker, which was commissioned in 2023 and has been operating reliably ever since.

We also presented our latest retrofit and modernization concepts, discussing how targeted upgrades can help existing equipment adapt to future requirements while improving efficiency and availability. ⚙️

💡 Visits like these create valuable opportunities for technical exchange and the early identification of optimization potential. Seeing production processes firsthand helps us better understand our customers' requirements and develop practical, future-oriented solutions together.

That is why Björn Schotthöfer and Mirco Ratzke joined our colleagues Nilgün Binbay and Barlas ORAN from our Turkish office to visit our long-standing customer, ORMA A.S., in Türkiye.

🏭 A key highlight of the visit was the inspection of the knife-ring flakers and double-stream mills that have been in successful operation since 2010. Even after more than 15 years of continuous service, the systems continue to deliver outstanding reliability and performance—demonstrating the durability, engineering quality, and long-term value of our technologies.

Alongside reviewing the existing equipment, we also presented our latest modernization concepts. Targeted retrofit solutions enable existing systems to meet evolving requirements while further enhancing efficiency, availability, and future readiness. ⚙️

Gestern durften wir 29 Schüler der Klasse 9c des Helmholtz-Gymnasiums Zweibrücken gemeinsam mit ihrer Klassenlehrerin Frau Kares-Reade bei uns begrüßen. 🌞

Im Rahmen der Thementage zur Berufsorientierung ging es für die Klasse nach der Vorbereitung in der Schule heute in die Praxis. Nach einer kurzen Begrüßung und Sicherheitsunterweisung starteten wir zu einem Rundgang durch unseren Betrieb und unser Forschungs- und Technologiecenter. Dabei konnten wir die verschiedenen Berufsfelder bei Siempelkamp Size Reduction vorstellen und einen kleinen Einblick in unseren Arbeitsalltag geben.

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming 29 students from Class 9c of Helmholtz-Gymnasium Zweibrücken, accompanied by their teacher, Ms. Kares-Reade. 🌞

As part of their career exploration program, the students visited our site after learning about different professions and companies in school. Following a brief welcome and safety briefing, we took them on a tour of our production facility and Research & Technology Center, where we introduced the various career opportunities at Siempelkamp Size Reduction and provided a glimpse into everyday working life.
