The final blade of the 36th V136-4.3MW wind turbine was successfully installed on Mercury NZ's Kaiwera Downs Wind Farm Stage 2 on Monday 18 May 2026.

To mark this occasion, our partners at Smith Cranes & Construction Ltd led a flag-flying display, with national flags of all those involved tied to the final blade. A proud and emotional moment for everyone on site, reflecting on their tireless effort and dedication to deliver this milestone.

Thank you to Mercury for their continued trust in us, and to all our partners on the ground in New Zealand who continue to work with us on projects like Kaiwera Downs and beyond. Wind energy continues to prove its value as an affordable, reliable and sustainable source of energy for New Zealand.

The first V236-15.0 MW™ turbine has now been installed at Ecowende's offshore wind farm in the Netherlands. 🌊⚡

We are proud to be working alongside Ecowende, a joint venture between Shell, Eneco, and Chubu to deliver a project that is designed to set a new ecological benchmark for offshore wind development in the North Sea.

The project will play a key role in the Netherlands’ energy system, combining offshore wind with ecological innovation to deliver impact:

🟩 At full capacity, the wind farm will deliver 760 MW to the Dutch electricity grid, equivalent to around 3% of national electricity demand.

🟩 Blades on some of the turbines are painted red to test whether increased visibility can help reduce bird collision risk.

🟩 The project has been planned and developed to prioritise the protection of local wildlife.

👏 Congratulations to everyone involved in reaching this milestone. We are proud that our technology forms the backbone of what will become one of the world’s most ecologically advanced offshore wind farms.

Episode 4 – Awaiting Wind Turbines marks a key transition point for the Lotus Creek Wind Farm, as the project moves into the next major phase of site readiness for turbine installation.

This stage reflects strong progress, with foundation works advancing toward completion and establishing the base for safe and efficient turbine er****on. In parallel, focus turns to the critical logistics phase, as wind turbine components begin arriving at port ahead of transport to site, bringing the project closer to generation.

We’re proud to be working alongside Zenviron to deliver the Lotus Creek Wind Farm for CS Energy, supporting Australia’s transition to a more sustainable energy future.

Energy systems are changing. And so is our role.

As grids become more dynamic and interconnected, generating power is only part of the story.

At Vestas, we’re going beyond the turbine, expanding how we support the full energy system. Our plant and grid solutions are one example, helping integrate renewables with greater stability and control.

Because the future of energy is renewable, and we help make it work across the entire energy system.

17 new EnVentus turbines have arrived in Australia

A major delivery for Synergy (Electricity Generation and Retail Corporation) ’s King Rocks Wind Farm has reached the Port of Bunbury, marking strong progress in Western Australia.

What has just arrived:
✅ 51 blades, each close to 80 metres
✅ 85 tower sections
✅ 17 hubs, nacelles and powertrains

From Bunbury, the components will travel more than 450 km inland to the site near Hyden in the Wheatbelt, where installation will begin.

The project will feature 17 V162-6.2 MW turbines from our EnVentus platform, contributing to a total capacity of 105 MW.

EnVentus is our flagship onshore platform, with more than 14 GW installed globally and strong momentum across markets.

Through this project, we are delivering a full EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) solution, together with a 30-year service agreement, ensuring efficient ex*****on and long-term performance, while supporting a more reliable, affordable and sustainable energy system in Australia.

🇬🇷 Our journey in Greece started 40 years ago, in 1986, with the installation of our first turbine, a 108 kW MICON unit in Fanari, Mykonos.

Today, our footprint in Greece and Cyprus:
⚡ 2.7 GW installed | 44% market share
🔧 2.1 GW under service in Greece + 128 MW in Cyprus
📦 19 warehouses across both countries

Across mountains, islands and coastlines, we support a more secure, affordable and sustainable energy future in Greece (and the world) every day.

Portugal’s largest wind farm is now producing energy
Iberdrola’s Tâmega wind farm in northern Portugal has produced its first kilowatt-hour, marking an important milestone for the project.

At a glance:
• 274 MW onshore wind farm
• 38 of our V172‑7.2 MW wind turbines
• Expected annual production of approximately 600GWh, enough to power around 128,000 typical Portuguese households

Installation activities are now progressing at Tâmega South, with full focus on completing the remaining scope.

Tâmega highlights the scale, complexity and long‑term collaboration required to deliver landmark wind projects, and reflects Vestas’ role as a long‑term partner supporting customers like Iberdrola as we develop the energy systems of the future.

Wind energy already generates more than 25% of Portugal’s electricity, and projects like Tâmega help increase the share of homegrown energy in Portugal while contributing to greater energy security, sustainability and affordability across the wider Iberian region.

Working our way toward zero-waste wind turbines. ♻️

Our blade circularity series continues. This time, we introduce the testbed at Stena Recycling A/S’ facility in Halmstad, Sweden. More than 500 tests have been completed, showing consistent separation of blade materials at scale.

Currently, around 90% of a wind turbine can be recycled, although some components, particularly composite blade materials, remain challenging at end of life.

We are seeing promising results as we break down the main blade materials and test how they perform after recycling. This helps us understand how the materials can be reused in new applications. 🔁

ICYMI: In the first episode, we took you behind the scenes of blade decommissioning, cutting and transport (👇link in comments).

What does it really mean to work with wind?
We’re currently hiring Service Technicians across multiple locations.

Behind every turbine, there are people — skilled technicians whose commitment to safety and precision keeps our turbines spinning reliably, every day.

From detailed inspections to daily safety briefings, their work demands focus, teamwork, and care. That’s how we ensure our turbines provide the energy that our communities and businesses need.

We’re proud of our colleagues like Giannis Syntzakis who keep everything running and make sure every step is carried out safely and professionally.

Out now: our financial report for the first quarter of 2026.

Our business performance improved year-on-year during continued geopolitical uncertainty. See key highlights below.

We had an order intake of 4.5 GW, with backlog reaching a new high of EUR 36.3bn, driven by strong momentum in Offshore and Onshore. Revenue was up 14% year-on-year, with an EBIT margin of 3.2%, resulting in the highest first-quarter profitability since 2018.

Our CEO, Henrik Andersen, says: “We’re pleased to have delivered a solid first quarter of 2026 amidst another global energy crisis and intensified geopolitical uncertainty. We continue to improve ex*****on in our Onshore and Offshore businesses, and momentum continues in our order intake. I want to thank our customers, partners, and colleagues for their continued engagement and support in building secure, affordable, and sustainable energy systems.”
