CBS Code is based on three types of activities
1) Talks:
Not everyone wants to learn to program their own software or app, and not everyone should. What is increasingly important, though, is to be able to communicate with engineers, software developers, and programmers; to speak their language. CBS Code Talks wants to introduce CBS Students to important concepts of technology such as Big Data, t
o increase awareness of the need from the business world to have managers with these skills, and finally to introduce to students how technology is used in major Danish companies, and how this affects the managers everyday.
2) Coding Lessons
For those who wants to be able to program their own software, to make their own website or app, or for the entrepreneur, who wishes to be self-reliant, CBS Code will arrange get-together’s where – for now – we will study online courses offered for free by some of the world’s best and most prestigious universities including Harvard and Stanford. CBS Code acknowledges that people have various levels of proficiency and interests in terms of coding language (Java, Python, C, C++ etc). On a long term, we want to offer classes in all of them – or maybe even get CBS to create electives!
3) Social Events
CBS Codes is not just for girls…. CBS Code is meant to be an open society that is open for all types of people. We are, by heart, CBS students, business people and networkers. An important aspect of CBS Code will be the focus on networking both after classes, talks and at social events such as Hackatrons, LAN-parties (CoD, Fifa, Battlefield, GT, etc), coding competitions etc. It all sounds geeky but we promise it will be accessible for all – else we have failed our mission.
