Circles and cylindrical forms have been central to the VOLA design language since 1968.

In architecture, the circle can represent unity, continuity and infinity. It appears in everything from small, considered details to larger architectural forms, creating a sense of balance, movement and endless possibility.

Across the VOLA collection, taps, showers and accessories are shaped by this same clear design language. The cylindrical forms and carefully considered proportions allow each product to become naturally integrated into the architecture, while creating a calm and consistent expression throughout the space.

Complex in its possibilities yet simple in its expression, the circle continues to give the VOLA design its timeless and enduring character.

Every VOLA product is made to order at our factory in Denmark.
Throughout the production process, skilled experts shape, solder, brush, polish and assemble each product with close attention to detail. Traditional craftsmanship is combined with precise engineering, and every finished product is carefully tested before leaving the factory.

Working primarily with high quality brass and stainless steel allows us to create products that are made to perform reliably and retain their distinctive expression over time.

It is an approach to production that has been central to VOLA since 1968, with quality present in every material, process and detail.

Our handles, spouts, plates and other components share the same design language and can be combined to suit different spaces, layouts and individual requirements. This makes it possible to create a consistent expression throughout the kitchen and bathroom while adapting each installation to the architecture of the space.

The modular system also allows individual components to be maintained, replaced or updated over time without changing the complete installation.

One modular system with the flexibility to meet many different needs.

Looking for inspiration in Copenhagen this summer?

This year, Designmuseum Danmark celebrates the 100th anniversary of Verner Panton with an exhibition showcasing some of the most iconic furniture pieces by the renowned Danish designer. The exhibition offers a unique opportunity to experience Panton’s bold vision, innovative use of colour, and lasting influence on contemporary design.

As part of the visitor experience, VOLA RS11 sanitiser dispensers are seamlessly integrated throughout the museum. Designed to complement their surroundings, they support the museum’s functionality while respecting the architectural and aesthetic experience.

Is it possible to design emotional attachment, or does it only emerge over time?
This is the question our Marketing & Sales Director, Birthe Tofting, will be debating at a panel discussion hosted by the Danish Design Center at Designmuseum Danmark during the 3daysofdesign festival.

The theme highlights the present moment as pivotal to future design choices and explores how conscious, emotional, and meaningful design processes can help shape a more responsible relationship between people, products, and the planet.

Together with Mads Twomey-Madsen, SVP, Global Communications & Sustainability at Pandora; Else Skjold, Associate Professor and PhD in Design and Sustainability at The Royal Danish Academy; and Julia Lahme, ethnologist and trend researcher, she will explore how authenticity and craftsmanship can create lasting value in a changing world.

The panel discussion takes place on Wednesday, 10 June, at 11:30AM, and entry is free.

A flashback to the Danish Design Award celebration in 2025!
Once again, VOLA is a Vision Partner for the Danish Design Award. In 1969, we received the ID Prize for our design of the 111 tap, and its iconic silhouette became the blueprint for the modern tap. The ID Prize was the predecessor of the Danish Design Award, which continues to celebrate outstanding design solutions that help shape and improve our lives.

“Products must endure – not only in quality, but in the value they create over time” -Birthe Tofting, Sales and Marketing Director at VOLA A/S.

We are proud to support the development of Danish design and look forward to an impressive field of visionary designs in 2026 that create real value for people and contribute to a more sustainable future.

The award is open for submissions until May 24.

The Danish Design Award is a collaboration between DDC – Danish Design Center and Design denmark, with Creative Denmark as a strategic partner and support from VOLA, Volvo Car Denmark, and Dansk Industri.
