DTU Roadrunners DTU Roadrunners is a team of DTU students participating in the Shell Eco Marathon each year On this facebook site you are able to follow the team.

The team usually participates in the two classes of the European Shell Eco-Marathon: the Urban Concept class and the Prototype class with the cars Dynamo and Innovator respectively. The team has 20 to 30 members, primarily second- to fourth-year students plus tutors. Project work in the course is based on the CDIO-working form and students are thus responsible for the development, construction and

operation of the vehicles. The site will continuously be updated with new announcements, pictures, videos, etc.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays from DTU Roadrunners! 🎄

As we look back on an exciting year filled with teamwork, late nights in the workshop, and unforgettable moments on and off the track, we’re incredibly proud of what this team has achieved.

Now we’re recharging and getting ready for the next EcoCar season with new ideas, new challenges, and new goals ahead.

Last week, our team were celebrated at this years Blue Dot Diploma Award Ceremony where the students who represented Ecocar in Poland received diplomas.

It’s a moment of pride and the recognition reflects the hard work, dedication and hands-on engineering that drive the project year after year🌟🏆

Our Story

The team usually participates in the two classes of the European Shell Eco-Marathon: the Urban Concept class and the Prototype class with the cars Dynamo and Innovator respectively. The team has 20 to 30 members, primarily second- to fourth-year students plus tutors. Project work in the course is based on the CDIO-working form and students are thus responsible for the development, construction and operation of the vehicles.

We are the proud owners of the former world record on a single liter of fuel equivalent which is 665km/l.

We have been active participants in the Shell eco marathon since 2004. Since then we have competed in different categories including gasoline, hydrogen and ether.

In 2017 we started a new adventure by experimenting with autonomous technology. This year we were among the first teams ever to compete autonomously in the shell eco marathon. Which lead us to be the first ever winning team in the autonomous section of the eco marathon. On this facebook site you are able to follow the team. The site will continuously be updated with new announcements, pictures, videos, etc.
