Moisture, approvals, turnaround time, aircraft carpet cleaning is more complex than it looks 🤔

Cabin carpets face some of the most demanding conditions of any interior surface: heavy foot traffic, spills, and soiling between every turnaround. Choosing the wrong cleaning approach can leave moisture in the cabin, delay the aircraft, or fail airline approval requirements.

At IPS-Group, we work with airlines and MRO providers to identify the right method, whether that's an inject/extract approach, a ready-to-use chemical loaded directly into the machine, or a foam-based solution that dries and vacuums without introducing excess moisture. Aircraft lavatories are one of the most demanding hygiene challenges in aviation and one of the least visible.

Odour control, disinfection, and waste decomposition all need to happen in a single cycle, under strict airline and regulatory standards, without disrupting turnaround times. For ground crews and MRO teams, finding a solution that meets AMS 1476, and Boeing Document D6-17487, while still being practical to use, is no small task.

Geopolitics is reshaping global supply chains. The Middle East is the latest pressure point, and the Danish industry is feeling it 🤔

Yesterday, IPS-Group's Director Claus Christian Hjorth-Madsen was featured on DR, Denmark's national public broadcaster, speaking alongside the Confederation of Danish Industry about the growing uncertainty facing Danish companies in the region. 41 out of 96 Danish companies with activity in the Middle East have already scaled back or are planning to do so, and we understand why.

Disrupted shipping routes, supply chain pressure, and an unpredictable geopolitical climate affect us just like everyone else. We're not going to pretend otherwise. But uncertainty is also where experience counts. IPS-Group has been operating in demanding, complex environments for over two decades.
