On EU Energy Efficiency Day, we spotlight one of Europe's most overlooked energy efficiency opportunities: waste heat.

Germany accounts for more than 20% of the EU's industrial waste heat. Existing waste heat sources could cover 30% of the country's district heating demand.

A new Danfoss analysis maps 178 major district heating networks against Germany's national waste heat register. The result is striking: more than 1,400 suitable industrial waste heat sources are located within just one kilometer of a district heating network, revealing a clear opportunity to scale waste heat reuse.

Two milestones, one proud celebration in Poland.

We have officially opened our new 22,500 m² facility in Tuchom while marking 35 years of Danfoss in Poland—together with 200 customers, colleagues, and partners.

The new site expands our capacity to deliver energy-efficient heating and cooling solutions for growing markets, including district energy and data centers. Designed for future growth, it brings advanced production, assembly, and testing capabilities together and has capacity for up to 500 colleagues.

Tuchom reflects our LEAP 2030 strategy in action: investing in our people, staying close to our customers, and scaling technologies that support electrification and decarbonization.

Earlier this week, we welcomed CSSC Shipping from China onboard Molslinjen's all-electric ferry, Nerthus.

Seeing electrification in action is often more powerful than any presentation. During the visit, we demonstrated how Danfoss technologies enable highly efficient and reliable electric ferry operations, powering fast-charging infrastructure onshore and propulsion onboard.

Two-thirds of all the energy consumed globally is wasted as heat, even though the technologies to capture and reuse it already exist.

Waste heat is generated everywhere, from data centers and supermarkets to manufacturing and wastewater treatment plants.

We need to start treating waste heat as a valuable energy resource.

Strengthening North American manufacturing with oil-free innovation.

Danfoss has launched a new production line in Monterrey, Mexico, to assemble oil-free check (OFC) valves used with Turbocor® oil-free compressors. By bringing production closer to customers, we are helping strengthen supply chains, shorten delivery times, and support the growing demand for energy-efficient and low-carbon cooling solutions across North America.
