Last Friday, we hosted our THORNICO General Assembly at Harridslevgaard Slot

We started the day with a glass of Champagne LE NON MOI in the Winter Hall while welcoming colleagues from across the conglomerate.

We then moved to the Knights Hall, where we had the pleasure of listening to a presentation on Geopolitics and Global Economy by SEB, followed by a presentation on AI by Kentaro Kawamori, Co-founder and CEO of Persefoni.

We continued the day with a 360-degree tour of the THORNICO conglomerate, presented by our CEO and owner, Christian Nicholas Stadil, together with the CEOs of all our group companies.

We concluded the day with a delicious three-course dinner from Restaurant MøBer and a quiz about the topics and insights we had gained throughout the day.

A wonderful day and evening spent with our great colleagues.

⚽ hummel x Bhutan Football Federation

This week hummel and the Bhutan Football Federation launched The Jerseys of Happiness - a trilogy of national team kits built around the only national philosophy in the world that measures progress in happiness rather than wealth: Bhutan’s Gross National Happiness.

The collection comprises three kits - home, away and third. Each jersey honours a different facet of Bhutanese culture, but all are united by the dragon of the national flag.

hummel has officially entered a new multi-year partnership with AFC Bournemouth. And the launch is anything but ordinary.

Off the English south coast, a giant ice block has been slowly revealing the two logos as it melts - symbolising a partnership built to make an impact.

hummel has officially entered a three-year partnership with the Bhutan Football Federation (BFF), marking a meaningful step in bringing Bhutanese football onto the global stage.

THORNICO’s CEO & Owner,Christian Nicholas Stadil , also Honorary Consul of Bhutan in Denmark, recently visited Bhutan as part of an ongoing business engagement and attended the signing in Gelephu.
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to using sport as a force for community, identity, and positive global connection.

With this partnership, THORNICO and hummel reinforce their purpose-driven approach to sport by supporting the long-term social impact and global unity through Sport.

Thor Stadil receives international recognition in China 🇨🇳
Thor Stadil, Chairman of the Board of THORNICO, has been awarded the Jiangsu Friendship Award – the highest honour given by Jiangsu Province to foreign contributors.

The award recognises his outstanding efforts in strengthening international collaboration and reflects THORNICO’s long-standing global partnerships.

Sunderland AFC and hummel extend their partnership ⚽️

Since 2024, hummel has played a key role in strengthening Sunderland A.F.C.’s identity, blending the Club’s rich heritage with modern design. The partnership is now extended on improved commercial terms, underlining hummel’s strong commitment and the shared success achieved to date.

Our CEO and Owner has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Board at Niels Brock Copenhagen Business College. He will officially assume the role on May 1 st. 2026.

Christian sees the role as a unique opportunity to engage with many talented business students and gain insight into the values and motivations of young people today.

A key focus will be to bring education closer to real-world practice through stronger collaboration with the business community.

Celebrating 60 Years of in Tønder 🎉

Yesterday, Hartmann – part of THORNICO’s packaging vertical – celebrated the 60th anniversary of its Tønder factory. Since opening in 1966, the site has played an important role in both Hartmann’s production and the local community.

The day was marked with cake and dinner in the factory canteen, and later this summer a large outdoor artwork will be created to commemorate the milestone.

THORNICO has been the majority shareholder of the Hartmann Group since 2012, and in 2024 Hartmann became fully owned by the THORNICO Group.

From the whole group, we wish our colleagues at Hartmann a huge congratulations on 60 impressive years! 👏
