A quiet record on our DTU Risø test site yesterday: the turbine produced 74 kWh in a single day - its best so far.
The car parked next to it was charging at 28 km/h. At that rate, a day like this is roughly 500 km of driving - more than a full battery, straight from the wind.
No drama, no perfect conditions - just a TWT-11 doing what it's designed to do: turning changing wind into steady power. 👇

10 years. One video. 🌬️

That's Andreas, our founder, sending nearly 4 kW from the wind to an electric car. The turbine doing the work: the TWT-11. 15 m tall, 326 kg complete - foundation included - and built to deliver around 15,000 kWh a year.

It didn't start this simple. KiteX began with a flying kite. After 5 years of learning, we pivoted to what you see here: a tethered wind turbine, where tensioned lines carry the loads instead of a heavy tower. Along the way we shipped 180+ of our portable Wind Catchers.

Now we're finalizing type approval and gearing up for production. ⚡

The months your solar barely produces are the months wind peaks!

That's the gap our TWT-11 wind turbine is built to fill. We're crowdfunding on Republic Europe (formerly Seedrs) so you can own part of the company building it.

Pitch page: https://europe.republic.com/kitex/coming-soon

Seedrs Europe Ltd, trading as Seedrs and Seedrs EU, is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland. Seedrs Europe Limited is a limited company, registered in the Republic of Ireland (No. 699574), with its registered office at 42 Pearse Street, Dublin 2, D02 YX88.

When investing, capital is at risk. KiteX designs and sells small wind turbines for rural homes and farms.

What happens when the wind gusts peak at 27 m/s?
Storm Dave visited Denmark over Easter, and TWT-11 delivered as designed. At average wind speeds of 18 m/s gusting 27 m/s - the TWT-11 kept delivering power to the grid.

Handling 18 m/s with a swept area of 89 square meters is difficult, but the TWT-11 does that with a total weight of just 326 kg!

The advanced aerodynamic and control platform kept all loads in check ensuring both safety and longevity of the system.

Small wind turbines have been around for decades. And honestly? They've mostly been a disappointment

Too heavy. Too expensive. Too little energy for the money.
Our CTO Andreas just wrote a white paper explaining what went wrong - and why everything is about to change.

Conventional small turbines weigh 3,000+ kg. They need cranes and concrete foundations just to get spinning.

The TWT-11? 326 kg. Complete system. Foundation included.

That's 13× more energy per kilogram. Not a tweak - a completely different starting point.

Andreas breaks it all down 👇

A white paper deep dive into why small wind is now becoming a viable energy solution for homes and farms. This white paper explores the key drivers behind the advances in lightweight materials, larger rotor swept area, and improved low-wind performance enabling meaningful energy production and faste...
