Wheelchair components and products to the wheelchair industry:
MBL manufacture a wide range of standard as well as customer specified products to the wheelchair industry such as, front and rear wheels, pushrims, front forks, bearing housings, foot rests, hand brakes, ramps, hubs, QR axles, rubber tyres, polyurethane tyres, inserts, infills, frame component, textiles, PU products, headrests, legrests, ramps, accessories and much more. We also offer a complete program of quality actuators which is designed by MBL especially for the rehab sector. Actuators - MBL motion systems:
MBL Motion System is a business unit in MBL and fully owned by MBL. Controlling wheelchair motion is where the actuator business started for MBL. Being a world-leading supplier of components to the wheelchair industry we found that there was an umet demand for powerful yet small and quiet actuators to fit into the design of modern wheelchairs. Today, MBL’s actuators are also used in care beds, reclining chairs and a variety of other industrial products. Along with the actuators comes a complete programme of controllers, power supplies and handsets using the latest technology, ensuring maximum efficiency and durability. Each item is carefully tested to ensure the highest level of quality. Outsourcing to MBL:
The MBL Group established its own production facilities in Poland in 1988 and in China in 1998 and we have gained hard earned experience and valuable knowledge in outsourcing to China and Poland. Over the years many customers have put part of their production into our hands. Today, we offer our competencies to companies also outside the wheelchair industry, wishing to outsource their production from China or Poland.

Recently, we had the pleasure of welcoming colleagues from MBL Poland to our Carbon Division in Zhangzhou, China.

After months of online meetings, technical discussions and close cooperation across continents, it was great to finally meet face-to-face and spend time together on the production floor.

During the visit, our Polish team explored the newly established carbon fiber production facilities and R&D laboratories, gaining a closer look at the technologies, processes and daily operations behind our carbon components. The meetings created an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge, discuss production and development challenges, and share experiences from both teams.

At MBL, we believe that strong partnerships are built through collaboration, openness and continuous learning. Every exchange of ideas helps us improve our products and processes, ensuring we continue to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions for the mobility industry.

Most importantly, our shared commitment remains unchanged: developing products that respond to the real needs of wheelchair users and support their everyday independence, comfort and mobility.

How to behave during a conversation with a wheelchair user?

First of all — naturally. 💜

A wheelchair is part of someone’s everyday life, but it does not define the person. What truly matters in every conversation is openness, respect and treating each other as equals.

A few simple things are worth remembering:
➡️ speak directly to the person using the wheelchair, not to their companion,
➡️ keep an appropriate distance and, if possible, position yourself at a similar eye level so the other person does not have to look up unnaturally during the conversation,
➡️ always maintain natural eye contact
➡️ focus on the conversation, not the disability.

Remember also that in everyday communication, it is completely natural to use expressions such as “go” or “walk” — people using wheelchairs use them as part of their daily language as well. 😊

At MBL, one of our key product branches is the production of rear wheels for manual wheelchairs. 🛞 Our wide product range is developed and manufactured using carefully selected components and dedicated production processes that allow us to maintain high quality, precision and flexibility across the entire manufacturing cycle.

For the production and assembly of wheels, we use specialized machinery and advanced equipment designed specifically for wheel manufacturing. The process is supported by highly trained employees working on our assembly lines, whose experience and attention to detail play a key role in maintaining consistent product quality. 💜

Across our facilities in Poland and China, we operate a total of 7 automated assembly lines, enabling us to achieve high production volumes while ensuring consistency, efficiency and reliable lead times.

What a great time at ATSA Expo 2026 in Sydney! 🇦🇺

A huge thank you to everyone who visited MBL at Booth 408 during the event at The Dome, Sydney Showground, Australia, on May 13–14, 2026. It was fantastic to meet so many customers, partners and industry professionals face to face and talk about the future of mobility solutions.

Our international team from Denmark, Poland and China was proud to present the Omobic product line and carbon solutions. We were especially happy to see so much interest in our lightweight wheelchair components and new Omobic solutions.
